Use of alcohol
Alcohol is mostly used as vehicle in homoeopathic mrdicines. The
general use of alcohol is forbidden in certain religions. Those who
practice these religions strictly, refuse to take homoepathic
medicines.
Do we have medicines not based on alcohol? What other matter can be
used as vehicle?

Re: Use of alcohol
Remedies in pillule form probably don't contain any detectable amount of
alcohol at all. Is that acceptable?

Re: Use of alcohol
I've heard of glycerine or charcoal being used as preservatives in place of
alcohol. Or just use water and tell the patient to keep the bottle
refrigerated if you're making up dosing bottles from pellets. Rosemary

One can use triturations which are prepared directly in milk sugar.
I know that a similar question came up about Hassidic jews at one
point, and someone said that their ban on ingesting insects (apis) or
reptiles (snake venoms) does not hold because the imperative of being
*healed* is greater than the need to avoid.
I do not know if there is similar dispensations in other religions.
Of course, the best solution is to purchase a radionic remedy maker
which can use water as a medium.
I can't see how taking a single granule which has been exposed to
1/500th of a drop of alcohol (which has evaporated) can be considered
"taking alcohol."
But then, again, I'm pretty rational and most religions are not...

Re: Use of alcohol
There has been a rabbinic religious ruling in Israel saying that the homeopathic remedies are kosher at all time because of their extreme dilutions and the healing intent.

Dear Yossi
And, what is Kosher is also halal! Muslims are allowed to eat Kosher
foods because we have the same rules for food. Halal is the Muslim term
for kosher.

Re: Use of alcohol
It is best to discuss the use of alcohol in terms of usage, purpose, quantity and the duty of a doctor to his patient.
Discussing it in terms of legal and illegal, halal haram, either kosher or not is always a never ending story of religious opinions.
Treating anybody with less harm done should alway be supported by most religions.
This is only a suggestion. Happy Hari Raya to all.
