Phytolacca, I recall
You helped when I was sore
Twas at my breast, a nursing child
And I could take no more
The breast was hard
The nipples cracked
The glands were enlarged
With stiffened back
A fever came to me
I wanted warmth, the weather dry
And something cold to drink
I clenched my teeth
And would not eat
Til you relieved this all
Someone said that I was shameless too
That part, I don't recall!!
