Dear Shan,

I do the muscle testing on the remedies that come up from case taking, so I
then ask what is the most appropriate remedy to use and the appropriate
potency.

It would be quite lenghty to explain here how to do muscle testing; I had
some formal training to learn how to do it.

It is very useful though. There are several ways to muscle test.

Best regards,
Grace

I have been doing the same thing for a number of years.

What I find is interesting is that some potencies will be (on muscle testing)
very appropriate, and others not at all. Clinically, it seems to prove out.

While this may go against the grain of some homeopathic philosophy, if one
looks at the studies done in plants, potency was critical.

Certainly potency matters! But usually (in my experience so far) there is
some latitude, e.g. more than one potency will "work", but one (or two) will
"work best", and going too high (or in some cases too low) can be
disruptive. But that only bears out what I'd been taught from the
beginning. What philosophy does this seem to go against, if you're thinking
of something specific?

Best,
Shannon

Oh, only that I've heard some say that potency doesn't matter.

There are so many views of homeopathy, and some quite rigid. The more I
explore the modality, the less rigidity I have.

Ah. I do remember Roger Morrison saying that, I think, but I don't think he
meant it quite literally or as a blanket thing... But, that's only dim
memory plus assumption. I think that he (or whoever it was) more meant that
potency doesn't matter as much as we've tended (or some have tended) to
think. Because there are some situations where it *definitely* does matter.

But as for your last sentence, as I always say, "The more I learn, the less
I know!!!!" And yeah, that goes double for homeopathy, LOL!
