Well, those are all good points. What was posted was not really a proving,
but a synopsis of one (passed on by Franz Vermeulen at a recent seminar
during which he compared a few cephalopods (available info and natural
history info). Did not have more to post at the time, but on your prompt
the original was found.
It is below in german, and below that in english. ( But a free online
translator was used ( http://www.freetranslation.com/ ), so the english
translation is quite poor.)
Blackie may have used Octopus, although not necessarily from proving sx.
There is also published toxicological info on Blue Ringed Octopus available
from a homeopathic journal.
Octopi are very intelligent (probably even more so than Cuttlefish) and
probably represent the highest expression of intelligence in the
invertebrate world. The various octopus remedies (there are many more that
could be proven, such as the Vampire octopus) are very likely to be
important as human remedies.

Im Mai 1999 haben sich die Teilnehmerinnen eines Laien-Homöopathie-Kurses
an einer Kontakt-Prüfung
eines homöopathischen Mittels beteiligt.
Dabei nahmen die Prüferinnen das Mittel nicht ein, sondern legten es für
einige Nächte unter ihr Kopfkissen.
Sowohl Träume als auch Körpersymptome und Gemütssymptome sollten notiert
werden.
Außer Prüfer 0 war den PrüferInnen das Mittel nicht bekannt.
Eigentlich wollte ich den gemeinen Kraken, Octopus vulgaris prüfen. Ich war
aber zu faul, den Kraken zu
besorgen, die genaue Art zu bestimmen und dann weiterzuverarbeiten.
Weit angenehmer war es, das bereits potenziert vorhandene Arzneimittel
Eledone cirrhosa (=Eledone cirrata)
zu prüfen.*
Zwischen diesen Arten gibt es keine wesentlichen Unterschiede, zumindest,
was den Zweck dieser Prüfung
betrifft und der war: einen weiteren Cephalopoden (Kopffüßer) neben Sepia
in die Materia medica zu
plazieren.
Weitere Prüfungen von Cephalopoden, vom echten Octopus oder vom echten
Kalmar wären wünschenswert.

Traum 1
Urlaub am Meer, es sind hohe Wellen, schönes Wetter, vom Dorf sind ne Menge
Leute da, Leute, die ich vom
Badminton kenne. Vor uns geht Doris, die fragt, Boris, wieviel wiegst Du
jetzt eigentlich, ich sage ungefähr 80
kg. Sie sagt erstaunt, ja, man sieht das gar nicht so. Da muß ich mich mal
bücken. Da sagt sie, du da sieht
man´s ja ganz schön, die Fettrollen. Meine Frau stimmt ihr so etwa zu, ich
bin ein wenig verletzt.
Ich gehe dann in die Wellen.
Meine Frau sagt: Das kommt daher, daß die anderen im Dorf...
Darauf lasse ich mich von einer hohen Welle überspülen, indem ich
flach auf dem Boden ausharre.
Das hat irgendwas damit zu tun.
Da kommen die Kinder und rufen „Leimee, Leimee"...
Traum 2
Ich gehe über einen großen Hügel, auf dem Pinien wachsen, unten links ist
Wasser mit riesenhaften Wellen,
bestimmt über 10 Meter hoch. Es sieht aber ziemlich künstlich aus, so
gerade und betoniert. Ich gehe den
Pinienhain herunter, die Wellen haben sich ziemlich beruhigt, ich gehe ins
Wasser. Unter Wasser finde ich
einen Markt, mit allen möglichen Ständen, eben nur unter Wasser. Ich bleibe
an einem Stand mit asiatischen
Spezialitäten stehen und überlege mir, was ich jetzt essen will.

Keine Symptome oder Träume wahrgenommen.

1.Nacht
Zwar sehr spät (ca. 1.00 Uhr) ins Bett gegangen, aber dafür ganz
durchgeschlafen. Während der Fastenzeit
schlafe ich nie durch. Trotz viel Getränke mußte ich nicht auf Toilette.
Kein Traum.
Kurzes, leichtes Herzklopfen beim Aufwachen.
Nur leichte Muskelkrämpfe in den Füßen während der Nacht ohne richtig
aufzuwachen.

1.Nacht
Nachts von Zahlen geträumt.
Von einem Wolf geträumt, mich bedroht gefühlt.
3.30 Uhr, Hitzewallung, danach nicht mehr eingeschlafen.
2.Nacht
Geschlafen wie ein Murmeltier - nichts von Träumen in Erinnerung.
3.Nacht
Habe von der Arbeit geträumt.
4.Nacht
Habe die Träume nicht behalten, so gut habe ich geschlafen.
Ich war die ganze Woche sehr aktiv. (6 Tage im Kopfkissen gehabt.)
Prüferin 4, C 1000
1. Nacht
Abends: Aushändigen der Globuli. Große Vorfreude, „iggelig" sein,
nicht abwarten können,
das Mittel auszuprobieren.
Morgens gegen ca. 5.00 Uhr frisch aufgewacht, keinen Traum, guter,
erholsamer Schlaf.
Bedürfnis, Globuli auch tagsüber bei mir zu tragen.
Ganzen Tag in Höchstform.
Lösung für Computerproblem gefunden, woran schon lange laboriert
wurde.
2. Tag
Keinen Traum, gut geschlafen.
Ganzen Tag gut gelaunt, und nicht kaputt oder zerschlagen und müde.
Fehler bei Routinearbeiten gemacht.
Zahlen gesehen, die nicht da standen.
Traum 1: bekannt chaotisch.
Traum von Kleidungsgeschäft, mit Schiff auf Fluß, bei Nacht,
Mondenschein.
Ich kann mich nicht recht erinnern.
Traum 2: morgens vor Aufstehen
Sehr vornehmes Trachten- und Abendmodegeschäft. Mich bedient eine sehr
nette Dame. Mein
Wunsch: für einen Ball ein Outfit. Ohne Zögern fängt sie an, mich
einzukleiden.
Sie hängt mir einen falschen schwarzen chinesischen Zopf an, dann ein Käppi
darauf, was ich schon
immer haben wollte. Eine hellgraue Hose, ein paar schwarze Lederschuhe mit
Federn dran und eine
Art Spitze vorne.
Oberteile, eins gefällt mir absolut nicht, gebe ich zurück.(mehr modern)
Das ganze Outfit gefällt mir, im Spiegel schaue ich mich an, die Haare
müßten noch verändert werden,
passen nicht ganz zum schwarzen chinesischen Zopf. (Im Spiegel ist mein
Gesicht ernst)
Dann bekomme ich eine zweite Garnitur angezogen. Art Karo-Muster in
grün-weiß. Wiederum im
Spiegel gefällt mir diese Aufmachung gar nicht, zur ersten.
Bei der ersten Aufmachung habe ich eine Art Poncho angezogen bekommen mit
Gummizug. Den trug
man über die Schulter gezogen. Erst lief ich mit rum, aber der Gummizug
engte mich ein, den wollte
ich nicht, incl. des Preises.
Verkäuferin war nach wie vor sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Nein, ich muß für
dieses erst ein bißchen
sparen, kann ich mir nicht alles auf einmal leisten. Poncho z.B. 1000,
Schuhe z.B. 450 DM
Beim Verlassen der Abteilung, hing ein abricotfarbenes Ciffern-Kleid. Es
sprach mich sofort an, von
Farbe und Schnitt.
Übrigens waren viel meiner Lieblingsfarben, extravagante Stoffschnitte zu
Kleidungsstücken im
Traum. In diesem Kleid war vorne ein Loch eingerissen, was ich reparieren
könnte. Ob ich einen guten
Preisnachlaß bekomme, damit ich es mir leisten kann?
3.Tag
Gut gelaunt, fit, im Laufe des Vormittags leichter Schwindel, dann
kam leichter Kopfschmerz
dazu.
Dabei trotzdem gutes Wohlbefinden.
Später: Beschwerden sind verschwunden.
Abends nach VHS trotzdem noch agil, konnte nicht einschlafen.
Nachts einen Traum , diesmal unangenehm:
Traum 3.
Meine Schwester und meine Tochter haben miteinander Streit bekommen (auf
großen Parkplatz).
Da nimmt meine Schwester meine Tochter und schmeißt sie auf den Boden.
Meine Tochter wehrt sich.
Aber meine Schwester schmeißt sie immer wieder auf den Boden. Zum Schluß
mit dem Gesicht auf
den Boden. Ich sitze im Auto, will immer hinfahren um meine Schwester
abzuhalten, aber sie springt
immer wieder weg.
4. Tag
Traum 4
Traum im Blumengroßhandel. Alle Blumen waren defekt und „scheckig". Alle
waren sie in ein
Wasserbad getaucht. Ich wollte gerne Pflanzen kaufen, aber keine gefiel
mir.
Die ganze Woche fühlte ich mich sehr aktiv.
Bedürfnis, die Globuli richtig einzunehmen, weil die mir so gut tun.
Ein Bekannter, dem ich davon erzähle, will die Globuli auch nehmen, der
wollte die direkt an sich
nehmen, die hab ich ihm aber nicht gegeben.
Nach Bekanntgabe des Mittels hat die Prüferin das Arzneimittel eingenommen:
„Das Mittel hat ganz hervorragend auf mich gewirkt, das war das stärkste
Merkmal, alles andere habe
ich nicht so wahrgenommen.
Ich hatte total Power, so als wenn man 14-16 Stunden täglich ohne weiteres
durcharbeiten könnte
über mehrere Tage. Träume hatte ich keine mehr.
Nachher hatte ich das Gefühl, die Wirkung hätte ein wenig nachgelassen, es
geht mir aber immer noch
sehr gut."

Keine deutliche Erinnerung an die Träume, es waren mehrere.
Vormittags müde Augen.

Keinerlei Auffälligkeiten in drei Tagen.
Vielleicht ein bißchen mehr ungeduldig mit meinem Sohn. Ein bißchen
reizbarer.

Nacht vor der Verteilung des Mittels:
In dieser Nacht träumte ich, daß meine Schwester nicht von der Schule
heimkam, und zwar aus der Schule
hier am Ort. (Obwohl wir in Bayern zur Schule gingen)
Wie schon so manches Mal war sie ein Kind, diesmal sieben Jahre alt und ich
in meinem jetzigen Alter
(normal ist meine Schwester sechs Jahre jünger.)
Ich war beunruhigt und wir fingen an, sie zu suchen und nach ihr zu fragen.
Niemand wußte etwas. Es lag
eine Landkarte auf vor uns und es waren Kreise eingezeichnet überall da, wo
bereits gesucht wurde. Die
Kreise überschnitten sich an manchen Stellen. Irgendjemand sagte, er wüßte
daß die Kinder verschwinden
würden, man brauchte gesunde Kinder um Medikamente auszuprobieren. Ich
verstand das nicht und dachte
zu Forschungszwecken werden doch Tiere genommen.
Ich wachte auf und war plötzlich sehr aufgeregt.
Am Abend bei der VHS wollten alle Teilnehmer an einer Medikamentenprüfung
teilnehmen.
Wir sprachen darüber und auf der Tafel entstand ein Bild, das ich kannte,
die Kreise, die sich teilweise
überschnitten waren meinen Kreisen auf der Landkarte in meinem Traum zum
Verwechseln ähnlich.
Es wurde auch darüber gesprochen, daß bei einem gesunden Menschen die
Symptome auftreten können, die
mit dem homöopathischen Mittel geheilt werden.
Dieser Satz erinnerte mich wiederum an meinen Traum und ich weiß nicht,
warum, plötzlich war ich sehr
aufgeregt und zitterte innerlich richtig.
Ich konnte mir alles von der Seele reden und anschließend war ich etwas
ruhiger.
1. Nacht
Traum 1
Ich träumte von Vögeln und Teilen war wichtig. Warum weiß ich nicht.
Ich wachte öfter auf , aber geträumt habe ich sonst in dieser Nacht
nichts.
Es war ein schöner Dienstag ohne besondere Ereignisse.
2. Nacht
Traum 2
In meinem Traum ging es diesmal um Hühner und Theaterschminke (!?) ich kann
mich an Einzelheiten nicht
erinnern.
Ich bin öfter aufgewacht und war hellwach,
hatte eine trockene Nase
1.55 Uhr mußte ich auf Toilette (Urin)
der Hals war jetzt mit einbezogen,
ich schwitzte am Körper,
Nasenfluß durchsichtig und zäh
Traum 3
Büroartiger Raum, viele Personen, mir bekannte und unbekannte. Da waren
bunte Wellpappe und Ordner. Es
war nicht aufregend, nur sehr viel und schnell
Traum 4
Ich lag im Bett (Einzelbett), meine Tochter stand rechts unten am Fußende,
meine Schwiegermutter saß auf
einem unserer Küchenstühle etwas in der Mitte des Bettes, aber gut einen
Meter oder etwas mehr entfernt
und mein Mann stand links neben mir. Alles war ganz harmonisch, warum ich
im Bett lag, weiß ich nicht. Ich
fühlte mich wohl.
Da war plötzlich eine große Spinne auf dem Boden vor meinem Bett.
Sie fing an, vom Boden aus ein Netz nach oben an die Decke zu
spinnen.
Ich sagte, R., tu die Spinne weg. Diese war inzwischen gewachsen. Erst war
sie so groß wie eine
Kreuzspinne, je höher sie spann, um so größer wurde sie; jetzt war sie so
groß wie eine Vogelspinne. Sie war
mittel/dunkelbraun getigert und ganz pelzig, eigentlich schön, ich mußte an
Steiff-Tiere denken. Mein Mann
nahm sie in die Hand und setzte sie auf den Küchentisch. Sie fing an zu
krabbeln. Ziemlich laut forderte ich
ihn auf, sie endlich wegzubringen. Er nahm sie und steckte sie vorne in den
Hosenbund, ich glaube vier Beine
und der Kopf sahen oben heraus. Er kam auf mich zu, um mir ein Küßchen zu
geben und dann rauszugehen.
Beim Vorbeugen fiel die Spinne aufs Bett und kam auf mich zu. Alles ging
ganz schnell. Ich schrie entsetzt
lauf auf und schlug die Decke zur Seite und wachte mit dem Schrei und der
Bewegung zusammen auf - mein
Mann auch.
Es war ca. 4.40 Uhr.
Rechte Seite Nase war zu
Rechte Seite Brust Beklemmungsgefühl
Gegen 10.00 Uhr - leichte Übelkeit
Rechte Seite Kopfschmerz, auch Auge, Wangenknochen, obere Zahnreihe
Schmerzen, es zieht zum Ohr , der Hinterkopf rechts ist auch
betroffen.
Druck bessert
Ich habe das Gefühl, meine rechte Gesichtsseite ist geschwollen.
Abends Stuhl, trotz Drang köttelartig und wenig.
3. Nacht
Kein Traum.
Vor dem Einschlafen Bauchmitte unten ein Ziehen - hatte ich auch am
Vormittag schon einmal.
In der Nacht einige Male aufgewacht.
Rechte Seite Nasenfluß gelb-grün etwas zäh
Hals: Kratzen, Auswurf gelb-bräunlich, zäh.
Stuhl tagsüber normal, abends wieder wie am Vortag.
4. Nacht
Traum 5:
Ein Traum mit vielen Menschen und tausend Kleinigkeiten, aber nichts, was
aufregend war.
Tagsüber machte mir meine Nase und der Hals zu schaffen, wie bei
einer Erkältung - rechte Seite.
Da meine Tochter auch erkältet war, denke ich, daß ich mich etwas
angesteckt habe.
Ich meine, ich habe eine Scheinarznei geprüft, oder wurde die Vogelspinne
getestet? Vögel, Hühner,
Spinne?
PS.: Ich war die ganze Zeit besonders gut aufgelegt. Und etwas ruhiger als
sonst. Vielleicht auch deshalb,
weil ich so in mich hineinhorchte.

1.Nacht
Traum 1:
In einem offenen Gefährt alleine über Schienen zu Stadtrundfahrt - vor mir
andere Gefährte, plötzlich über der
Stadt geführt.
Gefühl der Faszination, der Angst, herunterzufallen. Augen zu. Dazu
Erklärungen von Person über mir - nur
hörbar, nicht sichtbar (männlich, mit Bart)
Traum 2:
Fahrstuhlfahren in hohe Stockwerke mit vielen Leuten (aber nicht eng)
Auch Thema Urlaub mit Professor (Mann mit Bart)
Traum 3:
Autobahnplan: Wie fährt man am schnellsten zu einem Ziel (lag mittig auf
dem Plan), gesprochen wurde über
Besuch am Meer. (Frauenstimmen, keine Gesichter)
Traum 4:
Fahrstuhlfahren im Schrank (beweglich, außen grün, innen weiß mit
Fächerunterteilung oben zu öffnen von
innen).
Komme in Fahrstuhl heraus, Leute drin, junges Mädchen geht ebenfalls
herein. Unten angekommen muß ich
Fernseher auf Servierwagen durch große Halle schieben. Weiß nicht wohin
damit (trotz Auftrag).
Flughafenatmosphäre, andere Menschen auf Rolltreppen. Habe aber Gefühl, im
Hotel zu sein. Gebe
Fernseher ab um zurückzugehen zu Hotelzimmer und nachfragen.
Fahre auf Rolltreppe mit anderen noch (aber als letzte, ) komme aber nicht
nach, muß immer wieder zurück,
Stufen fahren zurück.
Komme auf Zimmeretage, Zimmertüren auf einer Seite, andere Seite offenes
Gelände, eher tropisch. Sehe
Professor, finde ihn in Begleitung im Restaurant drinnen. Männliche
Begleitung, wie viele andere jetzt, mit
freien Oberkörper, kümmert sich um mich.
Nachts zweimal aufgewacht.
Gefühl, immer Probleme lösen zu müssen.
Mitten unter Menschen sein, trotzdem auf mich gestellt.
Gefühl, eingeschlossen zu sein.
Mehrmaliges Aufwachen 1.00 Uhr und 3.00 Uhr, Gefühl, nicht zu
träumen.
Tagsüber nichts. (Stiche in Eierstöcken.)
2.Nacht
3-4x aufgewacht, Träume sofort weg.
Letzter Traum: Bruchstücke
Großer Saal mit Säulen. Gespräche (ernst) mit Personen, Verbündeter.
Aggressives Bedrohen einer aus dem Rheinbacher Stadtbild bekannten
Person durch mich.
Im Unterholz Spatzen. Erkenne sie als solches. Jemand anderes kennt sie
nicht. Auf einem Platz von
mehreren Bäumen umgeben.
Raten von Vogelstimmen.
Zwei Männer in Worten und Gebärden um mich/uns, keine Angst. Motorrad auf
dem Platz. ein Mann kann
sich unsichtbar machen. Ich kann die Verzerrungen seines Tarnbildes aber im
Gegensatz zu den Anderen
aber sehen. Fühle mich sicher.
Er weiß mehr Vogelstimmen, u.a. Drachen
Beim Aufwachen leichte Schnupfennase.
Tagsüber:
Vergeßlich. Dinge liegenlassen, Schlüssel, Socken etc.
3.Nacht
Traum
Auf der Suche nach Haus (ich und männliche Person). Besichtigen
freistehendes Einfamilienhaus mit großen
Garten. Haus hat L-Form. Ist eingerichtet, sehr hell, viel weiß, unten
großes Zimmer mit Fenstern zu
Terassezimmer, riesig groß Gardinen wehen - sehr romantisch - Oben gibt es
ein großes Zimmer, ebenfalls
hell in weiß eingerichtet. Mann geht an Fenster entlang in den L-Anbau.
dort wird es plötzlich dunkel. Bad,
Abstellraum und Küche haben keine Fenster, dafür aber sehr verwinkelt mit
vielen Treppen. Neben der
Küche, über Treppe zu erreichen, liegt eine amerikanische Bar: ganz in
Braun eingerichtet mit Billiardlampen
über den Tischen, ebenfalls riesig groß.
Der dunkle Teil ist wie ein Labyrinth Trotzdem fühlen wir uns wohl und
wollen dieses Haus kaufen/mieten,
was auch sofort geschehen ist.
Dann erst klettern wir in den Dachstuhl, der sehr dunkel und hoch ist
(Halle). Hier stehen viele Leute und
horchen. Die Wände sind mit dunklem Stoff bezogen und man hört Wasser
herunterlaufen. Man sucht die
Wasserstelle und findet ein kleines Rinnsal. Plötzlich wechselt die
Atmosphäre, im Haus junge Leute im
unteren Zimmer, wo jetzt noch ein kleines Zimmer sich gebildet hat, werden
dort eingesperrt. Ich gucke zu
von außen und bin auch mittendrin. Sie versuchen hinauszugelangen, indem
sie einen Brand verursachen.
Dieses funktioniert.
Ein Mann im Garten (Jeff Goldblum) hat Sandalen an, ist in Hundekacke
getreten. Versucht diese mit Blättern
abzuwischen. Dabei verhandelt er mit einem Mann und versucht ihn für einen
Job anzuheuern.
Dann befinde ich mich in einem Hafenbecken mit vielen Leuten -
Sauerstoffflaschen zum Tauchen auf dem
Rücken. Einige Leute werden gejagt - ich gehöre dazu.
Ich tauche über Tauchern hindurch , das Wasser ist zum Teil sehr niedrig
und trüb.
Körpersymptome:

Träume, Bruchstücke
Nachts unterwegs mit Roller auf Autobahn. Vor mir großes Auto. Alle fahren
ohne Licht. Auto bleibt plötzlich
stehen, fährt zurück. Ich stelle Autofahrer zur Rede. Der zeigt auf
riesigen LKW, der verunfallt im Graben liegt.
Gespenstische Stille. Suche Notrufsäule.
Schlecht geschlafen.

Die Prüferin 9 hat berichtet, von sehr bedrohlichen Situationen geträumt zu
haben. Schußwaffen, Gewehre,
der Kosovo-Krieg kam sehr intensiv hoch.
Darauf hat sie das Mittel sofort beiseite gelegt. Diese Träume detailliert
aufzuschreiben war der Prüferin nicht
möglich, so sehr haben sie diese bedrohlichen Träume mitgenommen.
Die geprüfte Potenz ist leider nicht bekannt.
Prüfer 10
Prüfer 10 ist der Bekannte der Prüferin 4, er hat das Mittel dann also doch
erhalten und einige Zeit mit sich
herumgetragen.
Traum 1:
Ich wollte meine Bekannte (von der ich das Mittel habe) in Rheinbach
besuchen, ich habe das aber nicht
gefunden, erst nach vielem Fragen. Ich bin dann aber irgendwie nicht an
meine Bekannte sondern an einen
Arzt geraten. Der sagte zu mir: „Sie muß ich behandeln!" Ich bin
kurzfristig mitgegangen, um mich behandeln
zu lassen. Der Arzt sagte, ich muß das röntgen lassen, das war dann aber
kein Röntgenapparat, sondern ein
Lasergerät. Der Laser war auf mich gerichtet. Bevor es losging, kam ein
junger Mann rein, der sagte: „Ich bin
dazu da, mich vor sie zu legen, um sie zu schützen."
Der Laser ging los und der junge Mann krümmte sich vor Schmerzen.
Ich wachte mit Herzschmerzen auf.
Prüfer 10 nahm darauf das Mittel ein, um den 1.Mai bzw. Vollmond herum,
wußte dann aber nicht mehr genau
zwischen Mittelwirkung und der „normalen quirligen" Stimmung zu
unterscheiden.

Zoologisches
Cephalopoden werden in Alt-Tintenfische und Neu-Tintenfische unterteilt.
Zu den Alt-Tintenfischen zählt nur noch die Gattung Nautilus, die noch ein
„Schneckengehäuse" hat,
ansonsten aber von den Leistungen des Nervensystems noch relativ
undifferenziert ist.
Zu den Alt-Tintenfischen zählten auch die Ammoniten, die einstmals im
Erdaltertum die Erde „beherrschten",
aber dann zu den Opfern des zweiten großen Massenaussterbens auf der Erde
gehörten (, das erste
Massenaussterben betraf die Trilobiten). Ammoniten sind heute gute
Marker-Fossilien, derer man sich
bedient, das Alter einer Gesteinsprobe zu bestimmen.
Cephalopoden sind also erdgeschichtlich sehr früh aufgetaucht, haben ihren
Zenit aber schon überschritten,
als es noch keinen Dinosaurier auf der Erde gab.
Die Neu-Tintenfische werden in der zoologischen Systematik unterteilt in
Decapoda, also Zehnfüßer und
Octopoda, Achtfüßer. Die Vampyromorpha sind ebenfalls eine eigene Ordnung,
werden hier aber wegen der
Artenarmut vernachlässigt.
Die einzige der Homöopathie bekannte Cephalopoden-Art ist Sepia
officinalis. Sepia gehört zu den
Decapoden.
Ebenfalls zu den Decapoden gehört der in erster Linie frittiert oder aus
der Paella bekannte Kalmar Loligo
officinalis.
Zu den Kalmaren gehören auch die Riesen-Tintenfische der Tiefsee, die wohl
bis zu 30 m lang werden
können. Von den Riesenkalmaren ist so gut wie nichts bekannt, in voller
Größe sind sie auch noch nicht
dokumentiert worden. Das, was man weiß, hat man meist in den Mägen von
Pottwalen gefunden.
Beispielsweise Augen mit einem Durchmesser von 40 cm, das ist mit Abstand
das größte Auge des
Tierreichs! Bei manchen Cephalopoden machen die Augen rund 40% des
Körpergewichtes aus.
Oder Saugnapfabdrücke am Körper der Pottwale mit einem Durchmesser von 20
cm, das läßt
Riesenexemplare in der Tiefe der Ozeane erwarten.
Kalmare vom Typ Loligo sind - ganz im Gegensatz zu Sepia oder Octopus
Schwarmtiere. Bemerkenswert ist
die Art der Kopulation, die übereinstimmend in allen Quellen mindestens als
Überwältigung, oftmals als
Vergewaltigung geschildert wird.
Sepia dagegen hat - antropomorph gesagt - bei der Begattung ein
Nähe-Distanz-Problem, wie wir es aus der
homöopathischen Materia medica bereits kennen. Im Urania-Tierreich heißt es
über die Weibchen: „Je mehr
sie balzen, desto weniger sind sie zur Paarung bereit."
Während Loligo in offenen Gewässern lebt und auch zu enormen
Schwimmleistungen fähig ist, ist Sepia nur
zu vergleichsweise langsamer Fortbewegung fähig.
Tagsüber sind sie im Sand versteckt, nachts lauern sie - auch versteckt -
ihren Beutetieren auf, nur selten
gleiten sie im offenen Wasser und dann langsam. Der Rückstoß, der eine
schnellere Fortbewegung
ermöglicht, ist nur bei Fluchtaktionen zu beobachten.
Für Octopoden ist Schwimmen auch eine Seltenheit, sie kriechen mit ihren
Armen über den Boden und
bewegen sich durch den für Cephalopoden so charakteristischen Rückstoß nur
bei Flucht fort.
Charakteristisch für Cephalopoden ist die Pigmentierung der Haut: Die Farbe
paßt sich dem Untergrund an.
So wird ein Krake, setzt man ihn auf ein Blatt weißes Papier, tatsächlich
weiß! Eine deutlich eindrucksvollere
Leistung der farblichen Anpassung als das, was das dafür berühmtere
Chamäleon leisten kann.
Bei Sepia ist das Farbenkleid bei der Balz bekannt. Das Tierlexikon
vergleicht die Balz der Sepien übrigens
mit der Vogelbalz.
Bemerkenswert ist die Organisationshöhe des Nervensystems. Cephalopoden
besitzen ein echtes Gehirn, für
„niedere" Tiere eine Besonderheit. Darüber hinaus verfügen sie über
Nebenganglien. So sind beispielsweise
abgetrennte (!) Octopodenarme zu selbständigen Handlungen fähig, diese
abgetrennten Arme suchen sogar
selbständig eßbare Tiere auf. Der chemische und der taktile Sinn kann
offensichtlich im Nebenganglion im
Arm verarbeitet werden.
Es sind auch regelrechte Intelligenzleistungen von Cephalopoden bekannt, so
konnte Octopus in einem
Versuch eine in ein mit einem Korken verschlossenen Gefäß gesteckte
Languste erbeuten, indem er nach
einigem Probieren den Korken vom Glas entfernte.
Allerdings vergessen Octopoden ihre angelernten Kunststückchen relativ
schnell, während Sepia das
Gelernte länger behalten soll. Beide sind in der Lage, die Experimentatoren
mit ihren Leistungen zu
verblüffen.
Das Gehirn selbst befindet sich in einer Art Knorpelschale. Ein schützendes
Skelett oder eine Schale gibt es
ja bei den meisten Neu-Tintenfischen nicht mehr. Von dem „Schneckenhaus"
der Alt-Tintenfische ist bei
Sepia im Laufe der Evolution gerade nur der Schulp übergeblieben, der in
Vogelkäfigen häufig zu sehen ist
und den Vögeln zum Schnabelwetzen dient.
Octopoden, die gänzlich ohne harte Stütze leben müssen, leben in Höhlen
oder anderen Verstecken und
kommen nur gelegentlich aus ihrem schützenden Bau heraus. Octopoden bauen
tatsächlich im wahrsten
Sinne des Wortes eine Mauer um sich herum oder an den Eingang ihrer Höhle.
Sie stapeln dazu Stein um
Stein.
Sich verstecken und verschanzen ist eine Überlebensstrategie der Octopoden,
überhaupt der Cephalopoden.
Neben der oben erwähnten Pigmentierung, dem Verstecken in Höhlen oder unter
dem Sand ist die Tinte das
Charakteristischste der Klasse. Bei Gefahr schießen die Cephalopoden Tinte
in das Wasser und verwirren
dadurch den Verfolger, so daß eine Flucht leichter möglich ist. In der
Tiefsee gibt es übrigens Cephalopoden,
die statt der Tinte leuchtenden Schleim ausstoßen.
Eine Besonderheit gibt es bei der Fortpflanzung bei Octopus. Nachdem das
Weibchen ihre
Nachkommenschaft in einer Höhle abgelegt hat, verschanzt es sich und
fächelt wochenlang frisches Wasser
über seine Brut und schützt sie vor Fressfeinden, ohne selbst etwas zu sich
zu nehmen. Selbst von Tauchern
angebotene Langusten werden weggestoßen. Das Weibchen kümmert sich solange
um ihre Brut, bis es
verhungert ist.
Die Befruchtung selbst geht ohne großen Körperkontakt vonstatten, nur der
die Samen tragende
„Hectocotylus", ein spezialisierter Arm des Männchens, hat Kontakt zu dem
Weibchen. Bei manchen
Cephalopoden ist dieser Hectocotylus sogar ohne Restkörper unterwegs zu
seiner Aufgabe...
Inwieweit das hier allgemein über Octopoden gesagte auch für Eledone
zutrifft, muß - bei aller Nähe der
biologischen Verwandtschaft - etwas offen bleiben. Über Eledone ist nämlich
so gut wie nichts bekannt. Die
Forschung wurde in der Vergangenheit in erster Linie mit Sepia oder Octopus
durchgeführt. So ist das
wenige, was man über Eledone erfahren kann, daß er eine ähnliche
Lebensweise hat, kleiner ist, nur eine
Reihe Saugnäpfe auf einem Arm hat und auch in der Nordsee vorkommt.
Wer mehr über Cephalopoden erfahren möchte, der sei auf die Literatur
verwiesen.
Cephalopoden sind bemerkenswerte Meeresbewohner, die ein wichtiges Glied in
der Nahrungskette
darstellen. Viele Meerestiere, Fische wie Säugetiere oder auch Meeresvögel
ernähren sich in erster Linie von
Cephalopoden.
Einige der bizarrsten Lebewesen der Erde sind zu den Cephalopoden zu
rechnen, womöglich auch einige der
Intelligentesten.
Ihr Image indes ist denkbar schlecht. Krakenhaft ist jemand, der ein
äußerst vereinnahmendes Wesen hat,
Bilder von Riesenkraken, die Segelschiffe zum Kentern bringen, tauchen auf.
Das Lexikon der traditionellen Symbole von Cooper schreibt: „ Oktopus:
Steht in Beziehung zur Symbolik des
Drachen, der Spinne und der Spirale; er wir als Donnersymbol gedeutet oder

In May 1999 the participants of a layman-Homöopathie-course were involved
in a contact-test of a homöopathischen by means of. At the same time the
