A Problem case- Tungsten?

At last I have had a chance to type up this follow up. Some interesting things have emerged. I have changed a few details for confidentiality although I do have the patient's permission to post. Has anyone come across tapeworms before as they are very unusual in UK?

I asked why do you need to climb?
"I enjoy it. It's exciting. The challenge it imposes on how to get from one place to another. It's in beautiful places. There is camaraderie between people you climb with. It's a bit like ballet in that there is a freedom of expression of movement like the dancing. On the hard climbs there is a sense of achievement. It's a puzzle which involves a strategy like chess. You have to work out a sequence and cunning comes into it. Fell walking is OK for the view and getting to feel free but climbing has extra parts to it. Like skiing as I'm free.

I asked why do you want to feel free?
"I don't think that is the motivation. A lot of people have their head in the sand and go along with the party line. I'm a bit of an anarchist and anti establishment. "He quoted me some words of a Pink Floyd song which I didn't get down. "At work as a manager I've got to put things over that disguises this fact and get people to do things that I don't want to do!!"
"I don't like being inside or hemmed in an office."
"It's better to die on your feet than on your knees"
"I'm a bit of a rebel. I don't want a boring little life." (He burped!)
"My job has changed my personality. I'm outspoken if I need to be against injustice and inequality. People politicking (sic) annoy me.
"My work situation is like sitting on top of a volcano which you don't know when/if it might blow".
"I like to do everything well. I am thinking of doing a doctorate for the prestige of it. It would be on something related to work."
"My destructiveness as a child was smashing the crockery and walking through wet paint."
He was sent to the children's home every time his mother gave birth. Step Dad was away as a lorry driver. This stopped at age 11 after which he was threatened that he would be returned to it whenever he was naughty. All his brothers and sisters went to children's homes as well at these times. "It makes you distrusting of parents."
Ears - Still itchy , eczema in both ears which causes the skin to break and fluid leaks into ears causing temporary deafness. < night < heat discharge clear yellow smell fishy.
Eczema - on coccyx. This started after step father died.
Last month he found a tapeworm in his stool and took it to the Doctor who confirmed this. He was given allopathic medication and gradually the pieces of tapeworm in stool ceased.
"The IBS is definitely to do with anticipation anxiety. It is beginning to come back. The urgency is more there. 2 weeks ago there as mucous instead of stool again in the first stool of the day. That has been the only time."
Analysis

The Graphites appeared to do nothing and amazingly the Carc. didn't appear to bring up any changes either!! His description of the challenge is interesting. The fact that the IBS maybe returning is worrying as this is the time of year that it usually does!! Petroleum has:-

Dryness, and distressing sensation of dryness, in interior of ear.

Discharge of blood and pus from ears.

Eruptions of ears.

Deafness.

and it also has Tapeworm!!
At the time I took this follow up I gave him Petroleum 30 to take od for a week and then to follow with Lyco 1M if the IBS still looks as if it is returning.
Today I started to do a MM search on the word challenge and came up with something interesting- Tungsten - Gold Series stage 6. I know it doesn't have his physicals but the Scholten's desciption is interesting. What does anyone out there think?
BTW - I prescribed Yttrium last week - will tell how it went if it does anything but patient isn't one who is very good at reporting back unfortunately or returning phone calls!!

This is also central to the essence of Lycopodium - perhaps he was put down
as a child by being sent into care and threatened with this whenever he was
naughty and now he is trying to climb high (literally) to leave that behind,
to grow tall again and be himself and not die on his knees but upright and
tall. Lycopodium was once a very tall tree moss and now it is just a very
small one.

Lycopodium is gassy, has eczema around the ears and it has worms.
He likes the idea of prestige by saying

Prestige is all about position in society and stature. And, of course, this
in an intellectual venture.

Classic Lycopodium.

The problem is that I couldn't the Cicada in the Rubric desires to climb except in reference to convulsions!!! However I will actually study it and see what I think. so Thanks. The Tungsten was in reference to the word "Challenges"
which is what I reckoned the case could be all about.

Thanks for that.
As I said I gave him a Lyco 1M to take after that consultation. The previous time he had Lyco it was a 200 and it didn't do anything accept possibly make the IBS worse but then I followed it up with the Dys Co 30 which seemed to sort the problem out. Maybe the time is right to try the Lyco again. We shall see when he reports back.
