Sankaran levels (was Botulinum)

Hi Shannon

This is Sankaran's current work in progress - the seven levels. He
mentions it briefly in "An Insight into Plants" (p48) and explains that
it will be discussed in detail in his forthcoming book "Sensation in
Homeopathy".

He gave us a presentation on the subject at the recent SoH conference

It all has to be viewed in the context of his method of case taking
(book: The System of Homeopathy) and makes a lot more sense when
explained by the man himself. Here's the Monty Python summary:

Level 1 - Name - 6c - Pathological prescribing - mountain example: sees
a mountain he wants to know its name
Level 2 - Fact - 30 - Symptomatic prescribing - mountain example: wants
to know the mountain's dimensions and facts
Level 3 - Feeling - 200 - Emotional prescribing - mountain example:
reacts with feeling of happiness, joy, opposite of which he says is
grief, sorrow,
Level 4 - Delusion - 1M - Delusional prescribing - mountain example:
feels like he is flying in the air (especially Californians)
Level 5 - Sensation - 10M - Sensational prescribing - mountain example:
feels light and floating
Level 6 - Energy - 50M - Energy based prescribing - mountain example:
experiences going up and down
Level 7 - Seventh - CM - "ask me in ten years"

So if all you know is that it’s a wart, or rather if that is the deepest
expression you can get from the patient, you are at level 1 and should
use 6c. If there are some modalities but no M/E symptoms, use 30. If the
patient bottoms out at the level of feelings use 200, and so on.
Sankaran has specific methods of case taking to evaluate the deepest
level of the case.

All this is a horrible over-simplification so don't be put off proper
study if the ideas seem daft initially. I have plenty of questions and
reservations about Sankaran's methods but they are interesting and
worthy of consideration, I believe.
