Hi Shanon,
If you ask me any potency will work if the remdy is indicated. Personally I
have seen if there is great pathological change low potencies work better,
and if the disease is functional high potencies work better, but as I said
all potencies work. If you are not sure of a remedy, that is quite
understandable, Hahnemann himself had this problem and he has solved it for
us in his organon. Give the one most indicated remedy and when the new
symptoms appear study the case again and give the next remedy that comes up.
Don't ever expect to be hundred percent sure in every case, give each case
your best shot and keep your fingers crossed.
But when you are not sure of your remedy a low potency would be a better
option and if you see a good response do not be in a hurry to go high. Some
of the best cures I have made have been with the 6.
I have given even nosodes in low potencies with wonderful results. The
worst case of Ankylosing Spondylitis I cured was with Medhorrhinum 6
repeated quite a few times over a period of three months (I was not sure at
all of the remedy then). I never gave the higher potency and after four
years he is still fine.
When going on a war against disease it is best to use all your weapons.
best regards
elham

Re: low potency high potency
Thanks elham,
This sounds like a good perspective to me...
Can you tell me more about "some of the best cures I have made have been
with the 6"??? Can you give me some examples of complaint, context
(young/old, pathology/functional, etc.), response (single dose or multiple,
and what time frame?), and why you chose 6?
Here's my other reason for being interested: Some time back Tony... I think
it was Pinkus??? talked (on Lyghtforce I think it was?) about the strength/
depth of action of the different potencies being cyclical, rather than
increasing steadily with increasing potency, and that certain low potencies
might actually be equivalent in action to certain high potencies. I'm
intrigued by the idea...
Anyway, I would love to hear a bit more, if you are up to it?
