Measles prophylaxis

Has anyone had any experience using Morbilinum (or other remedies) as a
prophylactic against measles? Clarke suggests using Morbil. 12c twice daily
as a preventative, but all I have on hand is 200c.

I've told the mom that it would be better for her two young girls to have
the measles (both are unvaccinated), and she agrees -- except that her
sister's wedding is in a few days, and both kids are scheduled to
participate in the ceremony. Not being there is apparently not an option,
at least not if there's to be peace in her family.

What do you think?

why is there a concern about the measles. have the kids been exposed recently?
or is this just a worrying-type mother?

Not just a worrying mom. Kids were exposed 7 days ago, and the incubation period is 10-14 or 15 days.

have you looked at Tinus Smit's protocol. he works a lot with
prophylaxis and vaccines. if i recall correctly he uses an
escalating scale of potencies.

Oh brother, that's a pickle...
The thing is, you won't know what happened or not (whether they've caught
it) after the wedding. And there is no prophylaxis for *anything* that is
100% effective.

And if I remember right, the few days before break-out are the most
contagious period. Which means that everyone at the wedding is being
potentially exposed.

Maybe she should ask her sister whether, knowing her guest list, she thinks
the risk is acceptable or not? Any pregnant guests, or adults who've had
neither the disease nor the vaccine, or anyone immune-compromised?

Thanks for your replies, Tanya, Marleen, & Shannon. There are lots of protocols out there & lots of controversy about how useful they are. IMHO the girls would be better off catching the measles (immune system development and all that stuff), and so I told the mom, who's still thinking this over. I suggested that there was no guarantee her kids might not be contagious even if the nosode worked to avert the measles in them. The bride-to-be is the one who should be consulted on this, since it's her wedding and her guest list, but no one wants to enter the den of that particular bear. More pre-wedding jitters and hysteria than average apparently.

Why do people want to interfere with nature when it comes to matters like this? (It didn't help that the youngest recently went on a constitutional and is doing very well, and the eldest is scheduled for her interview this coming week.)

If she doesn't have a way of evaluating the risks of possibly exposing the
entire wedding party to measles...

I understand the wish to "interfere with nature" here; missing a major and
long-anticipated event is a stinker. But will the sister be *less* of a
bear if the kids come, and wind up infecting someone???
