Parkinson's

Can we do anything to stop the progression in Parkinson's? I see that there are 52 Rx listed. A cousin from abroad has the disease and is fed up with the side effects from the allopathic drugs he is receiving. If so I need a recommendation for a classical homeopath near Herzlia in Israel. I know that there are homeopaths on every street corner in Israel but I have heard of some terrible multiple prescribing which definitely wasn't classical!! Please back channel.

Losec is a medication for stomach ulcers and stomach ulcers are a frequent
occurrence as a side effect of Parkinson drugs. Is this why he is taking the
Losec and maybe why he has abdominal pains.

The symptoms are spasms in the stomach which creep along the diaphragm
(according to him) and through to the back. It feels as if his stomach is
set in concrete and the spasms are through this.He says when he initially
told the consultant that it went through to the back it initiated the tests
for Parkinson's He also had a hiatus hernia and Barratts oesophagus and an
endoscopy was clear.

My question to the Medical Doctors is have they heard of this stomach
problem as common to Parkinson's or is it a SRP related to the patient. Not
a clue about what Rx to give him yet and even if it will work as he has been
on Ropinerol for 3 months and feeling worse for it!! He is also on Losec.
Any information gratefully received as usual.

He is taking the Losec because of the Barrett's oesophagus and hiatus hernia. He reckons he has had the Parkinson building up for 20 years but has only been on the Ropinerol medication for months. I am not sure how long he has had the stomach problems for or how long he has been taking the Losec as I forgot to ask.

How long has he had the hernia?

For what it is worth, Gels and Plumbum (2 rx that you would always consider
in parkinson's disease) both have abdominal pains that extend to the back.
In the case of plumbum (which also has hernias) it is a sensation of the
abdomen being pulled back as if by a string.

Of course a number of other rx have this sx as well.

Also Mercurius, Nat.mur and Rhus tox for Parkinsons - which, incidentally, maybe a
precursor for Body-Lewy Dementia (a form of Alzheimers) I believe. Hernias
(inguinal) often found too, and before that, some pathology with the spine
(crumbling/fusion or back pains generally), but stiffness before the Parkinsons is
diagnosed.

Caust. had little thing I found in Clarke like the ulcer under the top lip which he has all the time and scabs over to start again! It also has the tinnitus , whistling on the left side. I need to find a little bit more information out from him before I prescribe. Merc I think I have discounted because I don't see any offensiveness in the discharges. He does have drooling but this is a common feature of Parkinson's. Puls actually came up as the top rx. BTW - he has had the stomach problems for years!!

I can see why you are thinking of Causticum with the grief, and (unresolved and
unbearable) grief does seem to be a component of why Parkinson's (and any following
dementia) might occur. Without the whole case, I obviously can't say more, but I
have found remedies like Puls and Bartya carb. do come in, because of the childlike
state that is either enforced or comes into being... depending on age and severity of
course. I would not discount Puls., especially if there is any issues around
abandonment after the grief and a feeling of losing 'attention'.

A case I'm thinking of was after the death of a 'mentor' figure (fatherly figure) in an
elderly gentleman's life. In a lifetime of loss, this last one tipped the balance.

Has anyone treated advanced Parkinson's? Patient, 72, is on various
medications to control shaking but is beginning to lose urinary and
bowel control. Constitutional treatment would have helped early on but
this is likely advanced stage of a psoric constitution(?)
