intestinal adhesions--URGENT

Hi All:
My 57 yr. old girlfriend is in the hospital with a lower bowel obstruction. The cause being adhesions in the lower bowel caused by possibly a blood clot that caused part of the lower intestines to die off.

Any one have any suggestions for remedies that could help. Originally they thought she had pancreatitis. I gave her iris-v 12 c once a day. After she took a total of 2 doses, the next day the hospital staff was amazed that her pancreatic enzymes had gone back to normal and her pancreas looked much better. They said they rarely see pancreatitis resolve so quickly.

However then they were able to see the lower bowel intestinal adhesions/obstruction.
I did a search and found Abdominal adhesions and the following remedies came up:
allox., dig, fl-ac, iris-t, mez, sep, thiosin, verb
Anyone have any success reversing this problem?
Anyone know about iris-t for this situation?
Of course it this doesn't resolve she will have to have surgery. We would love to avoid that.

Dear Jill, you really need to ascertain whether the adhesions were caused by
the blood clot or not, this would help determine some rx. Also if she did so
well on the Iris you should take a full case to see if this is her
simillimum for the time being. a full case should be taken anyway. It isn't
really enough just to go by what remedies appear under abdominal adhesions.

Thios repeated in a low potency is the main Rx for abdominal adhesions if this is what they are but as Joy says find out what caused them. However I wouldn't expect them to suddenly go with this Rx. They take months to appear and will take months to breakdown.

Hello all,
In an emergency: consider Verat a. or Plb for "intestinal
obstruction". I've treated successfully emergency cases of intessuption
and your case may present similar symptoms acutely.

For long term I agree that Thios may be the best first choice.

For long term treatment, consider the famous Edgar Cayce's (an America
psychic-naturapath, circa 1900-1949) prescription for any sort of internal
adhesions or scarring -- Castor Oil packs. The original details are
published in a book of Cayce's called "La Palma Christi" (??spelling).

Here's the method:
You'll need:
1.Castor oil: Best to use cold pressed castor oil
2. Flannel cloth
3. Heating pad
4. a sheet of plastic the size of the flannel
5. blanket

Instructions.
Get a piece of flannel or tee-shirt cotton double the size of the area to
be treated. Fold the cloth in 1/2.
Soak it in (cold pressed) castor oil. squeeze out the extra oil so it''s
not drippy.
Place the flannel over the area to be treated.
Put a plastic over the flannel so as to protect the bedding, etc from the
castor oil (it's messy stuff)
Put a heating pad, (eg hot water bottle, electric pad) over the plastic.
This is necessary as the oil should remain as warm/hot as possible through
out the session. Cover the patient in a blanket/sheet so as not to chill
while using the pack.
Keep the pack on for 20 minutes.

Repeat this treatment as often as twice a day in very serious cases, or,
usually, 3 times a week in chronic cases.
It's possible to re-use the flannel without washing it out every time
(because of the "messy" factor), but add fresh castor oil each time. Cold
-pressed is clearly the best quality ot use, but the usual commercial
quality you find in the pharmacies / supermarkets/ is acceptable if you
can't get cold-pressed.

Yes. It works.
I used it in a case of uterine scarring/adhesions from a botched operation
in a patient. 3x a week for 6 months was the Rx.
