Report on very old case

In January 2003, I shared with the group a case of a guy whom I'd been treating with Crot-c with some success, but for whom I'd come to a standstill. He had severe OCD with rage -- shrieking, megalomania, compulsive repetitive actions as a way to avoid expressing his rage directly at people, depression, missing his mother, sleeping during the day and being awake all night, or sometimes not sleeping for days on end. It was a spectacularly intense case.

It was very helpful to summarize the case for the group, and your suggestions were likewise helpful to me in conceptualizing where to go next. I very much appreciated the generous help I received.

I decided, after reflecting on the whole picture, that the nosode had to be Med, and that if at all possible I had to stay with a snake remedy. In the follow-up I'd just had, he talked a lot about sexual compulsions, sexual guilt, religious feelings about sex, comparisons with priests, sexual aberrations in general, with lots of swearing. That picture made me look at Cenchrix, which in fact had all the physical symptoms as well. I reported this to the group at that time, in January.

The patient took an intercurrent of Med, then went to Cench LM1. We've done the intercurrent of Med once more since then, and continued the Cench LM 1, which after the nosode went back to working well, just like it was supposed to. Today he called, to check in.

I wanted to share with the group that he's basically now feeling very well. The OCD and rage have become "occasional memories" rather than constant problems, and he's solved a lot of the problems he was dealing with in his personal and professional life. He's really thrilled, because before he called for homeopathic help, a year ago last August, he had taken psychotropic drugs that had landed him in a mental hospital raving and on the verge of committing suicide. Now he feels really good. The homeopathic treatment has gone on, and been progressing steadily through Tarent, Crot-c, then Med intercurrent with Cench, since August 2001.

So thanks again to everyone for your helpful suggestions and discussion, and I thought you'd like to learn of a successful outcome.
