Hi,

Only if they give you permission to do so.

Hi,

You've got nothing to apologise for, Shannon. It's better
to be made aware of them. Unfortunately, there's
nothing stopping him from setting himself up again
but using a different name and email address.

Shannon

Jumping into this particular fray with both feet first, I would say that it
is not ethical to take one's words and use them in any shape or form *out of
context*. "Quoting" someone in my view means the words in the "quote"
should stand clear and unambiguous and could be used in any context without
misinterpretation.

For what it's worth...

Hello all,

I often receive request to post my writings on other lists and I always
say yes. I just was asked today. I don't know if my posts have been posted
on other lists without asking? I think if one is going to quote directly
it is polite to ask but if on is paraphrasing or redacting ideas that is
free speech.

Sincerely, David

IMO, it is not, unless you have their express
permission to cross post. At least, I never do it
without first asking permission of the author.
