Dear Balasuramanian,

'Adam' is the abbreviation of 'Adamas'; the remedy
prepared from diamond. It was first proved by
P.Sankaran (Attention! not R) and then by Jeremy Sherr
by the Dynamis school (1994). Report of JS's proving
is available in 'Dynamic Provings' Vol 1, 1997. You
can also find useful information about 'Adamas' in
Synoptic Materia Medica "2", Frans Vermeulen.

Complete name for 'Myrrha' is actually 'Balsamodendron
myrrha'. Herbal preparations of Myrrha is used as an
antiseptic and antimicrobial agent. No idea about its
homeopathic use and materia medica source.

Myrrh. Commiphora myrrha. Commiphora molmol. N. O. Burseraceae. MM in Murphy
and Clarke.

PHARMACY - Myrrh. Commiphora myrrha. Commiphora molmol. N. O. Burseraceae.
Middle East and Africa. Tincture from bush or small tree. Historical dose:
Tincture and all potencies, third potency. Planets: Mercury.
HERBAL - Myrrh, highly prized for its bitter cleansing perfume. It was
also part of the emballing mixtures of the ancient Egyptians. The aromatic
pale yellow, gum resin seeps out from fissures. The dry powdered resin is
often added to tooth formulas.

HOMEOPATHIC -- Myrrh is a stimulant, tonic and anti-septic. The tincture is
used for sore throats, ulcers and thrush. Mouthwash for infected gums or
ulcerated tongue. Tonsillitis with large and infected glands. Difficult
expectoration. Dragging and weight sensation in the female pelvis.
Leucorrhea. Supressed menses in anemic young girls.
Myrrh is a remedy for enfeebled states with excessive mucus discharges.
Chronic gastritis and dyspepsia. Muscular debility. Respratory weakness with
difficult expectoration. Gas and frequent mucous stools.
CLINICAL - Abscess. Amenorrhea. Asthma. Bronchitis. Colds.
Constipation. Coughs. Gum disease. Mouth disorders. Pharygitis. Throat,
sore. Thrush. Tonsillitis. Ulcers.
Mouth - Abscess. Pyrorrhea. Spongy and bleeding gums. Salivation. Sores
in the mouth. Inflammed and sore gums. Pale tongue.
Throat - Sore throats. Pharygitis. Infected and enlarged tonsils.
Abscess glands.
COMMENTS - Large doses of Myrrh quicken the pulse, raise the
temperature, cause gastric burning, great sweating, prostration, vomiting
and purgation may follow.
