a M/E cause could be lacking in physical sxs >simply because it hasn't
impacted the VF that much
could be, I don't know whther its possible to have strong - ie clearcut -
emotional symptoms without some physical correlate. i think this is the view
of most physiologists.
whereas..in a chronic *state* of emotional or mental disturbance, which
lacks well defined symptoms either mental or physical, may be the type
suitable for counselling, and not for homeopathic remedies.
with any emotional trauma.
no i disagree. Hn says we are to treat these states with counselling and NOT
with homeopathic remedies. if it is a case of the VF being disturbed, as
OPPOSED to the emotional being in disturbance, then the VF must throw up
specific symptoms.
if you don't have a case you should consider to do counselling first rather
than make a case up.
upset, but specifically about deep mental disease, >e.g. psychosis.
no i was thinking if more non-specific situations. one can really suffer
from depression or anxiety without there being a clear-cut case; in my view
this is what Hn is alluding to.
symptom picture is not clear, it becomes harder >to recognize the
simillimum.
not necessarily if there was at some stage previously more symptoms.
in the deepest sort of way!) has gone >*entirely* to the interior, and no
longer expresses in more >exterior ways *at all.*
could be, but we still can't rule out nutritional disturbance. eg
schizophenia has been successfully treated in serious long-standing cases wi
th megadoses of niacin.

Re: mental diseases
What i am getting from this discussion, aside from observing some misunderstandings, is that, once
again, we need to look at the Whole picture. This picture is never limited. I was taught
to use All of our senses in evaluating a case--not just the 5 basic ones usually referred to.
Hn talks of obstacles to cure. In this this vein, certainly nutritional deficiencies are to be included,
and either ruled out or attended to. So are environmental aspects such as toxicity in the air from
polluted heating systems for example (i do recall 1 case where this was a factor). But there are
many more conditions that can be added to the list.
As to manifesting sx, there is also a broad range to look at. Anxiety may be accompanied by withdrawal or
excessive talking. There may be avoidance behavior in certain situations. Perhaps the person picks at
something like their clothes or plays with their hair or pats themselves continually or at specific moments.
I dont consider these physical sx, but they are part of the sx picture and may be the avenue into a case,
especially if we can identify a really peculiar pattern.
And I think we must ever be so humble as to recognize our own limitations as well as the limitations of
our materia media.
Sometimes when we get into these abstract dialogues, it seems easy to lose track of the realities that we
deal with.

Re: mental diseases
>- cause *of* physical ailments, or
i didnt discuss this possibility. Maybe it can happen. can you give an
example?
have you never treated a cold that came on after a grief? or a high state of anxiety?
or ulcers which are related to supressed/repressed emotions? or back pain related
developed after some M/E conflict?
