General and mental exhaustion are prominent features
of this remedy. There is an apparent aggravation from
mental exertion. The patient may suffer an inability
for writing which also aggravates the patient's mental
condition. Mental prostration is esp prominent in
evening.
The remedy may be useful in exophthalmic goiter with
suffocatiove feeling and pressing pain in the region
of thyroid gland which leads to dysphagia.

Generalities
Feeling of general exhaustion .
Gets up in the morning with a feeling of fatigue which then gradually
disappears.
Mind
Psychological
Mental exhaustion in the evening.
Incapable of doing the least physical or intellectual exercise.
Nervous
Feeling of vertigo, lasting only a short while in the evening (around 7 p.m.
).
Insomnia until 1 a.m.
Digestive system
Pain around the umbilical region , starting in the morning; becoming worse
after breakfast, and by leaning backwards, by walking and standing; improving
with pressure, by lying on the stomach or leaning forwards.
Respiratory system
Throat
Feeling of obstruction in the throat , worse when lying on the back .
Throat red, dry, painful, especially on the left side and when swallowing.
Dryness of the throat not improved by drinking water, worse from drinking
cold drinks.
Feeling of protrusion of the thyroid cartilage .
Lungs, pleurae
Cough with thick, greenish sputum which comes up easily.
Sense organs
Nose
Nasal discharge of thick, yellowish liquid, sometimes black and sticky.
Eyes
Pain below the left orbit when lying down.
Eyelids stuck together in the morning .
Heavy, yellowish-white secretion during the night.
Eyeballs painful with feeling of protrusion , especially on the left side .
Ears
Drawing sensation in the outer ear as if pulled by a string.
Impression of tugging behind the ears, passing from left to right.
Urinary and genital organs
Urine slightly irritating.
Frequent micturition at night.
Feeling in the bladder of not being empty after urination.
Last drop hot and irritating .
Locomotor
Sudden sensation of weakness in the limbs , especially the legs.
Need to lie down and condition improved by continual pressure.
