one soided disease

Post by Bob Needham »

Hello David
Could you or other party provided me with the definition of "one sided
disease" Is this a disorder without the tonic component?
Tks
Bob

Dear Bob,

A one-sided disease is a state where a local complaint in a tissue,
organ or system becomes so strong it represses the constitutional symptoms
and only displays regional signs and symptoms. This is common in advanced
chronic complaints produced by complex degenerative diseases and chronic
miasms. Hahnemann speaks a lot about this in the Organon (aph 172-203). At
this time, most of the major symptoms are related to the local sensations,
discharges, signs and symptoms with a few concomitants. The local affection
becomes the strongest layer and suppresses the constitutional symptoms.
There is a reduction of the number of available symptoms on which to
prescribe a remedy. If a decent remedy is giving for this one sided state
it will improvement the local pathology allowing more constitutional
symptoms to be reinstated. In this way, one follows the layers back from a
one-sided disease to the underlying symptoms and the chronic causes behind
the phenomena. In this way, one can work the timeline of the case backward
in layers as the patient become more healthy.
