Mum tried all the suggestions on the discharging eye and returned to the original Euphrasia tincture that I had made up pronouncing it the best one. The eye appears to be no problem now. I saw the child yesterday when he was in with a consultation with one of his brothers. The baby has what looks like red bruising under the eyes which is probably from the fast birth and is slightly jaundiced. He is feeding well and the only complaint Mum has is that he sleeps all day and wants constant feeding at night!!! She is hoping that the baby will sort it's day/night time out when it arrives at full term - next week!!
All the best

tear duct/now week old baby
Hi Rochelle,
Keynote of Lycopodium isn't it? (Sleeps all day, and awake all night).
Herscu might have it in his book, but I'm sure I read it somewhere ...
Although, as you point out, maybe whole circadian rhythm still to adjust.
Tempting thought tho', a sycotic baby with sticky eye ...
Best wait and see I guess !
Good luck.

Re: tear duct/now week old baby
Dear Barbara,
Off the top of my head Causticum comes to find for this symptom as well although I am sure there are others.
Quite right, I am doing a wait and see with the baby. Incidentally Lyco is Mum's and one of the brother's remedy!!!
Regards,
Rochelle
