Thanks Jan, this is a very interesting idea.
I've heard of the practice, but only just barely! Can you (and anyone) say
any more about what sorts of problems it's been useful for, and what sorts
of reactions to expect? I have *dim* memory of hearing that this approach
-- or was it potentized urine, or was it something else altogether...) had
sometimes caused significant aggravations -- or I could be completely
confused.
Can you say anything more about it, or suggest a reference?
Thanks!
Shannon

Re: An Unusual Milk Allergy
Hi andrew,
Yup, very good points.
However, they did try her on raw, organic milk, both cow and goat. She
reacts less strongly to those, but still reacts even to them.
She does seem to have a lot of allergy trouble (also cats, dust [sounding
Tub again!] and anaphylactic to Brazil nuts), and lot of adrenal symptoms.
I think I'll have to try Tub again...
Thanks for the thoughts!

Re: An Unusual Milk Allergy
Hi Shannon,
According to Hedwig Imhäuser the 'own blood method' is very usefull in cases
of:
1) Acute infections, when a) the simillimum can not be found, b) weak (VF)
patient, c) occurance of complications such as enzephalitis, orchiti,
parotitis and pertussis.
2) Reccurent infections
3) Allergic reactions
4) Constipation
5) Furuncle
6) Abdominal cramps
Imhäusser makes no reference to the danger of severe agravations.
You find more about his method in his book:
"Homöopathie in der Kinderheilkunde", Karl F. Haug Verlag, Heidelberg. 1970
Regards,
Jan

Re: An Unusual Milk Allergy
Dear Shannon, have a look at Sanicula - they crave milk and are aggravated
by it. But it was your words about her screaming if she was put down that
made me think of this Rx. I will do a bit of a write up if I have time.
best wishes, Joy
PS see ing as my last post took a day to arrive!!! you wll probably get this
one next year
) Anyone else having this problem?

Re: An Unusual Milk Allergy
Hi Shannon,
often a change of potency could get the desired effect.
BTW: you hadn't mentioned the choking before in your posts, so I also
would recommend to take a look into Cadm-s.
Though in the Reps nothing is listed about desire for milk, this remedy
can cause increased desire for cold milk (own observation, confirmed
twice), where no desire had been before (boy drank suddenly 1 litre of
milk daily!, whereas before had not drunk more than 1/2 litre/year).
Additionally, Cadm-s has many choking/constricion symptoms, + is a
well-known remedy for alcoholism, so here we have the addict aspect as
well.
As Sulphur was useful for the girl in the past, perhaps you look a
little deeper into Cadm-s.
Best,
Gaby

Agreed, on the many parallels between Sanic and Tub.
With Tub., I would expect allergies, astma, diabetes, tb (also renal) etc.
(some deeper disturbances) in the family history.
(With Sanic., I wouldn't know what to expect there).

Re: An Unusual Milk Allergy
Thanks andrew, a very good point.
Unfortunately, tho, she turns out also to react badly -- tho perhaps less so
-- to raw organic cow's milk and raw organic goat milk -- they tried those
early on, hoping to accommodate the craving, but those didn't work for long,
either.
She also has anaphylactic reaction to Brazil nuts, so I guess allergy is a
big thing for her, whatever that means (ouch...)
