eczema

Post by Sim Thiam Chye »

Some new updates on the posting about my friend's girl who had agg. for 6 mths.
Her eczema finally cleared up for 1-2 weeks; and suddenly, it re-appears abt a week ago.
She did not take any remedy after the eczema cleared; and her mother couldn't think of
any food that might have antidoted the remedy. She is thinking of sending her back to the
Homeopath again

Have anyone seen such phenomenon? Is this explained in the organon?

Cheers
TC

Sim,

What remedy was given that cleared it up in the first place?
Would one want to repeat it in a higher potency?

TC,

Sudden and strong reappearance of a symptom generally means it was
suppressed, not cured.

Ouch!
TC, could you give some more details?
Can you give us the schedule of what doses she had (sulphur, as I remember?)
-- what potency, followed how many days/weeks/months later by further dose
of what potency, etc.?

The fact that she had the personality changes -- messy to neat, back to
messy -- plus the long aggravation, does sound like dosing was too
aggressive for her. For it to have cleared so briefly and then come back
sounds worrisome. (I agree with Russell, it sounds more like suppression
than like cure. But depending on details, it's also possible that it's
simply a temporary relapse, due to some stressor???)

For how long has it been back?
Is it increasing, or staying the same?
Where has it reappeared so far?
How is the child taking it -- is there any change in her emotional state?

The more detail you can give, the easier it will be to understand what may
have taken place.

Best,
Shannon

Hi Shannon

I have email my friend for more details. Should get it in a day or two.

When Dave wrote that the case was aggravated, it make senses to me.
Aggravation (I am referring to similar agg) points to a correct Rx, but too
high
potency. If so, am I right to say that the Rx will cure (eventually) and not
suppress.
Russell offer good reasons why he thought that it could be a suppression.
If his observation is correct, then the Rx cannot be the right one!

I hope the Homeopath will re-take the case; but I suspect that she is more
likely to repeat the Rx.
I wonder if I should I advise my friend to bring her girl to the same
homeopath.

Thanks for all the advise

Hi TC,

A truly similar aggravation would normally be followed by cure.
So I guess one thing we need to know is whether the return of the eczema is
a temporary one (that can happen! And the best approach in that case is to
leave it alone while the body re-stabilizes, unless there's been an
antidoting.) or whether it has truly re-emerged.

I think I'm going to withhold further judgment until we get the other
details!

So keep us posted.
Best!

by all means, this case should be LEFT ALONE for some time - a month maybe.

use gentle topical palliation, such as oatmeal soap

Hi Shannon, Dave, Russell,

I am appending my friends writeup on her daughter's case..
She couldn't remember all the facts exactly. I added what I think is the
correct info. What is interesting is the mental state of the kid.
Now she is back to her neat self and the eczema breaks out again.
seems to be a bad case of aggravation..

thks for your help
