off topic mixed environment

I take liberty to suggest that in my experience in a hospital setting, where there is a mix of paradigms, successful interrelationships require clarity of responsibilities and objectives.

Re Arlene's opportunity to work in a hospital setting with patients

When I was working on a Psych ward of a general hospital, if I had been able
to do Homoeopathy, it would have only been possible to control with the
outpatients i was seeing. With the patients on the ward, there were so many
other people involved in their treatment, and the psychiatric drug
treatments and the problems of moving the patients through in a certain
number of days...... I think at that stage they were trying to keep the
maximum to about 17 days as inpatient.
The outpatients I was seeing, some of which had been in the system for 8
years, would have been perfect to try it with as I could spend as much time
per week as I wanted to with them. It was actually this experience that led
me to study Homoeopathy in the first place!!

Arlene, i hope your situation is more suited to this than mine was.

Robyn

Hi Robyn,

The situation you describe in your inpatient experience is not much
different from mine, except that the patients usually stay for about 28
days. However, I am planning only to treat acute, physical symptoms,
presumably using repeated doses of low-potency remedies.

Someone else pointed out that acute prescriptions sometimes act more
deeply than we expect, and I will be interested to see if this occurs.

Regards,
Arlene
