Thanks for the info Tracy. I will take Dave's advice and order the proving. The reason I was interested in the rx is because I have recently had 2 new clients and the essence of what they are saying is that they feel that they just don't belong here.
I was trying to come up with a rubric for "I feel like I am walking with one foot here and one foot on the other side"
Another client says she feels like the giant in the movie The Green Mile, where she seems to sense and absorb everyone's stress so is constantly walking around with stomach cramps. She feels that she is too sensitive emotionally/spiritually for this life and that she just does not belong here on (mother) earth.
I was toying with the essence of both feeling that they did not belong here, that there was a lack of attachment to mother earth.
I will keep researching and will definitely read the full proving for lac humanum. Anyone have any suggestions as to rubrics?
Johanna

Hi, Johanna.
I've been looking at those kinds of rubrics, too, for the "blood" case I've
been discussing. There are a couple about delusions about halves of body
that might fit your case. "Delusions body half doesn't belong to her" may
be one, but one of them might also fit your situation. In the repertory
under "Delusions-body..." (I don't have my repertory handy right at the
moment to find the exact citation. Sorry.) Rosemary

You might want to look at Xenon in Scholten's Elements.

Stranger in your own country
They may feel like a stranger in their own country. They don't really feel a very strong connection. Nationalism is a concept that is alien to their way of thinking.

Re: lac humanum
Hi Johanna,
There are LOTS of remedies that are potentially super-emotionally sensitive
Nux and Caust. come immediately to mind.
But - personally, like your client says: I feel like I'm walking with one
foot here & one on other side-- on my GOOD days
Sometimes there is a thin line between "spiritual emergence" and "spiritual
emergency"
I would not normally accept unexamined as a symptom for treatment - the
sense of dual awareness... because in my own life and from reading
/spiritual studies .. this is a DESIREABLE state. Obviously there must be
balance, and a person must be able to function and feel well and reasonably
at home on planet-earth -- but maintaining an awareness of supraphysical
reality is the *object* of meditation and spiritual practice... to live in
this world but to be not OF this world .. is a way of expressing the
knowingness of spiritual reality.. transitory nature of physical reality ..
yet commitment to "being present" for the play of daily life.
I like the catchy sports phrase - "Show up & suit up" .. wake from the
level of reality called sleep, which in some ways is more real than the
dream called "waking" .. and put on your suit of flesh, and play your part
in the daily soap opera
If the person is unable to show up & suit up for daily life, the
over-sensitivity could use treating.. but the dual awareness might be
healthy spiritual awareness - if it seems NOT .. think of Anac & Nux -m.
also
Mind - delusions - divided (subrubrics)
MIND - CONFUSION of mind - identity, as to his - duality, sense of
imho there is a potential imbalance in therapeutic approach of thinking of
"essence" of case, *especially* if comparing this to "remedy essence" (&
most notably recent tendency to purvey such)

Re: lac humanum
Dave,
Thank you for your insights, and I live your expression "show up and suit up". There are two cases I am looking at.
The first case is relatively new (3 visits) and the picture is slowly emerging. The client is 60 years old and has suffered from depression most of her life. Her chief complaints were oesophagus and stomach complaints. She was reluctant to really open up on the first visit. Aurum fit the picture and her problems subsided (only one minor irritation first month). She was impressed with homeopathy as she had been to medical doctors, chiropractors, had acupuncture and nothing seemed to work "that well." With homeopathy she said that "I have not felt this good since...I can't ever remember ever feeling this good" Her friends and her husband have noticed a very positive change in her. She does a lot of reading/studying on spirituality and has a philosophy degree. She mentioned that she seems to be walking in two worlds earth and the spiritual world. She would love to live only in the spiritual realm but realizes that if she does not accomplish what she has to do here she "will only have to come back again." She was born in Britain during the WW II and has had no real relationship with her mother. I was trying to differentiate between aurum wanting to end it all versus lac humanum not feeling a connection here (mother earth) and having no connection with her mother. This is background research as the case will develop on its own.
The second case is that of a young woman , 24 years old who comes from a very loving environment, has a great relationship with her parents,( especially close to her mother), and her siblings. She has a history of ulcerative colitis. She does a lot of spiritual reading/studying, practices reiki etc. She however feels that she does not fit in this world.
Her words - "I feel like the giant in the movie The Green Mile. Whenever I am around people I feel their stress and pain and it goes right to my gut. I always have stomach cramps when I am around people most of the time. This world is so cruel, I feel like I just don't belong here. I just want to go back to the other side. "
2 different cases but with some interesting similarities. So I just am trying to really get to know lac humanum and also lac maternum. Just thought that the more experienced homeopaths might be able to guide me along.
