polypharmacy

Post by isali »

A very open minded approach That's good. All of this was summed up several
years ago when some said to me " homeopathy is a diagnosis of symptoms,
conventional medicine is a diagnosis of disease" . Two completely different
philosophies and protocols. The concern I have with the polypharmacy is that
it takes it's basis from a diagnosis of the diseased state. That approach
can create a hybrid analysis that more times than enough shorts both
homeopathy and allopathy.

Bob, there is no issue raised regarding the more preferrable application of a single remedy; however, the argument that this must be rigidly adherred to in a vacum I beleive fails to allow for adequate interpretation of the fact that remedies are changed and/or their potencies are changed with frequency at times appropriate. I would argue that this is a difference without distinction to the application of multiple remedies and/or potencies.

For a reaction to occur there must be an appropriate set of conditions otherwise there will not be a response. If one were to place a tuning fork of a given note at one end of a room and strike a counterpart at the other end of the room, the result is that both will resonate. If the tuning fork is of a differing frequency it will not resonate.

What is your argument for not taking advantage of the shorthand of a disease name in place of listing a collection of clinical manifestations. This does not infer or suggest that one is treating a disease. It relies upon an ease of communication. Further, patients come to a physician's office likely with exposure to allopathic medicine. That is what is understood commonly amongst numerous cultures. I prefer, as a physician, not to argue with patients and other physicians, the issue that I don't treat diseases, I treat the whole person. Other physicians would not collaborate with me and patients could care less, they have a health problem and they want relief.

What is your argument for not taking advantage of the allopathic knowledge of embryonic developement of tissues of the soma? Couldn't we all benefit from an understanding of the process that that field of healthcare has so admirably defined?

What argument is given for not taking advantage of the homotoxilogical chart of vicariation, if it most adequately can identify your single remedy course of treatment? And if it is correct as a chart, then all fields of healthcare can take advantage and benefit from it. This is a mechanism which affords a measurement of treatment protocols as well as diagnosis...by whatever healthcare system one wishes.

So I have used the shorthand of allopathic diseases rather than elaborate a cllinical picture. I use the homotoxilogical chart of vicariation to establish a starting point from my Dx, and to identify a measureable coursing of the treatment protocol. I have found efficacy with complementary use of polypharmacy and am able to measure it via the aforementiioned chart which is consistent with progress notes.
