Suggestible- rubric?
Suggestible- rubric?
What would be the rubric for someone who is easily taken in by people
offering miracle cures!! Gullible is the word that I want. The nearest I can
find is "yielding".

Re: Suggestible- rubric?
Hi rochelle,
Synthesis has the rubric "suggestible" - Phos, Arg.n (both italics)
It is cross referenced to "confidence want of" and "insecurity"
regards,
Arun

Shannon I have to hang my head in shame as although I suggested that she was
naive to her I didn't realise it could possibly be a rubric in a rep!!! It
really does show me that maybe I should go for Phos. as one of the symptoms
that she tells me is that she has difficulty with communication. Scholten's
Elements describes this as important.
Thanks also to Arun as I don't have synthesis.

Re: Suggestible- rubric?
Mm, lots of interesting choices!
So I guess it comes back again to wanting to know *why* -- why is she so
easily influenced? Has she been fooled, or is she afraid to voice objection
or to go against the other's wishes or beliefs, or ?? Which of those
possible choices might also show up elsewhere in (be supported by) the rest
of her life/case?

Shannon,
You might want to discover how her mother responded to her father... also if she had siblings then how did she respond to their
*whims & demands or suggestions*... sometimes one learns to be *weak* & and *cave in* easily due to what one *learns* in the home
atmosphere as a child & it may not even come *out* until one is an adult on their own...

Re: Suggestible- rubric?
This is a difficult one because to find out I would have to tell her that I
think she is easily duped. She certainly has been by a naturopath she found
on the Internet who told her that she may have fungus in her stomach and
that could lead to cancer and put the fear of God up her. She then mentioned
that this woman would be sending her a catalogue (as I asked her what she
was selling) and she mentioned New ways or something like that and if I have
got it right that is a pyramid selling company. Also she was told that she
may have contaminated her child (who has bad eczema) by having fillings when
she was pregnant and they should both buy her metal testing kit for £20 ,
take these drops and then send a hair sample off after a month. She told
me she was shaking when she got off the phone. My reaction was how dare this
person frighten a member of the public over the phone and what
qualifications have they. I told her to contact the woman and say that her
homeopath wants to know what is in the drops and to give her my e mail
address!!!! Before this she took her child a couple of times to a Chinese
herbalist while the child was under my treatment. I suggested that she
didn't do both and to bring the child back to me if she wasn't happy with
the Chinese herbalist. The child is now back to me!! My big problem is
stopping her suppressing the child's eczema with zinc wrappings that she got
from the hospital. When she does this the child's asthma gets worse!! At
least she has found that Lobelia MT does a good job on that when it is bad.
Some cases are sooo difficult to handle.
Thanks to t white for reminding me of the Sault book that I do have!!!
