vaccinations?

I have a Canadian raised 21 year old who is going to India for 6 months
on a student exchange program. He is against having any traditional
vaccinations for malaria, smallpox etc. Does anyone know if there is
anything we can give him now, before going to India, or should he be
treated in India if any symptoms arise?

To my knowledge there is no vaccination for malaria. When my son went to West Africa some years ago, he did not wish to take the usual prophylactic, Larium, because he believed it not terribly effective (it also can have some nasty effects on mood). Instead, he used tincture of the herb Spilanthes with very good results & had no problems with malaria.

Dear Usha,

I usually recommend a dose of Sulph or Hep30c to take to be protected
generally against any bite. I learnt that these remedies act as an
repellent. Also take China,Ars, Sulph in the first aid box with description
in use. If in high risk with some Malaria cases in the area, to protect
himself a dose of Malaria nosod can be taken. I had a few cases happily did
that and escaped the disease. Also Homoeopathy as you know is very common
in India but it would be good idea to have appropriate remedies with him
which allows him to take something therapeutically until he finds his way to
a Practitioner.

Hello Usha,

What a coincedence, I have a 22 year old daughter leaving Nov. 8 for Baroda,
India for 6 months, we just had this discussion on another list.

Unfortunately she had the 15 vaccinations required by organization she
belongs to who is sets up these opportunities for research and travel. When
she returns I will clear these vaccinations with the proper remedy made from
the vaccinations she took

Others who have had clients that travel, did not have the vaccinations
either, but if there is any concern about some of them, they could be done
with homeoprophylaxis.

She was told also she had to take anti-malarial medication weekly, but what
I found out is, if she takes china 200c weekly, this will prevent her from
getting malaria.

From www.professionalhealth.com I ordered a food poisoning detox to aid in
the relief of acute food poising and removal of the toxins. It is a combo
remedy with different potencies of bactieria such as salmonella, etc. She
could probably pick a remedy from her kit ( a 36 remedy travel size from
Dolisos) for this as well but she really hasn't much experience with
remedies so I thought this might be helpful just in case.

It was suggested to take some enzymes along, particularly if the person in
going has weak digestion. Lastly, just not getting run down in general will
help prevent him catching anything.

In India, there is supposedly 19 homeopaths for every medical doctor, so
they have that option as well. Hope this helps.

You think it so simple?
You think it risk-free?

I recommend that you consider treating only by princples of homeopathy, you
could create more disease than you cure, otherwise. See if there is an
observable reson
There are people who say this is so.
Others (homeopaths included) say not.

Treating homeopathically (by good homeopath) if symptoms arise would seem to
be ideal in most instances.
