Dear Panthera
Thanks for asking about the case. It was one of my patients several
years ago (whom I still treat occationally) arrived for his first
visit. I thought him very strange when he first approached me at a
casual restaurant (jazz club) after he saw me speaking to a mutal
friend. He proceeded to bombard me with questions about what to take
for this and that etc. I refused his request enlightened him as to
how I work and encouraged him to make a appt. He did. He showed up on
time. Turns out he is an heir to a huge American company and worth
many millions. I make mention as he was wearing a ragged overcoat
even though it was not really cold out. His hair looked like it had
not been washed for many days and he kept scratching under his dirty
T-shirt. His look is somewhat oafish, on a large scale not really
overweight by 20 lbs maybe. Not much eyecontact was made during our
visit. His main complaint was recurring styes. On exam he had very
poorly managed teeth with many broken and decayed. The stye was firm
and painful with no suppuration. His demeanor was gloomy and boring.
He also suffered painful bursitis worse in the morning in the right
shoulder. When I asked him about the scratching, he said nothing but
acted strange. I (as an aggressive practitioner) put him on the table
and made him to remove his clothing. Around the navel, groin and
axillary areas there was a lot of marks from the scratching and some
black dotting. Under a light and mag glass I saw and removed several
of these lively crab lice and put them in rubbing alcohol. Without
further talk I instructed the patient get a topical chemical for the
removal of the lice, but he refused!! He stated that they didn't
bother him and one time when he was sixteen (43 at present)he had the
crabs for 8 months and only to be removed in Army boot camp. He said
they were a strange comfort to him and he really didn't care if they
stayed or not but wasn't about to make an effort for removal. I was a
bit stymied but stayed the course and thought of the Staphisagria for
many of the above symptoms and dispensed a 10m (in office) dose. He
said he probably wouldn't take any meds at home. Paying in cash, he
left not unhappy, but I thought he was the type who liked to have
pros and docs for friends. We made an appointment for two weeks
later. When he arrived his face seemed so clear and the stye
diminished and no lice. I asked if he had a change of heart about the
chemical lice remover but he said he did nothing they just left.(?)
On exam they were surely gone.(?) As was the rash and the soreness of
the shoulders was much improved although he still had the ugly coat
on.
MRD
There is a ton more on this patient as I have treated him for 3 years
after this incident. I will continue if asked.

- Now that you mentioned it you made us curious, of course. Could
you give some details, please ? You sounded as saying that this case
was one of an orally taken hom. potency. That does make a
considerable difference to a traditional use as a herb, probably
externally applied, though there may be a parallel. I read a whole
series of human b. lice cases treated homoeopathically ( in a non-
english journal ), but these were all chronical cases with a number
of symptoms of which the lice were only the most spectacular, and a
series of different rem.s needed in each, though Psorinum played a
major role. The author himself could hardly believe it. - Is your
case published somewhere, witnessed, from hear-say ? Only this one
rem., human or animal patient, pot., doses, prescribed for the lice
or after total. of other symptoms ? - Please enlighten
us !

Panthera

Hi Medo and all,
Catching up after a month off-line (computer trouble!)... Did you post any
more on this case yet, and if so, could someone re-send it for me?
Thanks so much,
Shannon
