tourettes - ideas

Post by ForumGal »

Dear Medo,
I'm NOT a practitioner, just a list fan and homeo mom, but whenever I see
a disease name associated with a rem on the list, I write it all down. For
tourettes/tics, I've written circuta virosa, arg-nit, niobium and mygale-l.
A place to start anyway. Best, Margaret

Subject: Tourettes
Does anyone have any experience with Tourettes in adults and children?

I am having a hard time rep-ing this one, and/or if you have a group

of remedies that I can reference and cross reference this will help

me learn more of the acceptable tx. Thanks

Someone wrote

all down.

and I'm sure there are others, as well.

This is a way of effectively putting the cart before the horse, by driving
the cart backwards.
Yeah, it's still a horse & buggy, but doesn't function as designed unless
going forwards.

It is also a great "case in point" of the problem with not being
scrupulously clear about

1. the homeopathic physician doesn't treat disease names
2. yes, some useful information can be found by pursuing allopathic
diagnosis
3. pigeonholing remedies as "this for that" (disease name) can lead to all
sorts of mischief
4. yes, practitioners do (unfortunately imho) refer to "a case of (disease
name)" in cases where (disease name) is not at all a clear diagnosis .. in
many, many cases (disease name) is SO non-specific, only a collection of
allopathic symptoms, of a range so broad as to allow wildly divergent
remedies to be fully successful in two different cases.

No, I don't mean any criticism of Joy (regardless of Wendy's supposition).
Or anyone else.

Principles.

I suggest that we be conscious of the fact that *not all* here are seasoned
professionals, and that we should maintain professional levels of clarity.
When a case is presented as Joy presented that last one of (disease name) it
is pretty clear that homeopathic method is being put into play.. There is
(hopefully) little danger that someone will simply write down (disease name
= remedy name) .. but will understand

(disease name) = very partial subset of complete case
(complete case) = remedy selection process.

Wendy: dunno how you arrived at the idea I meant to criticize Joy, or any
individual.. "campaign" against treating disease name, you said.. yes,
right, just so... against the principle of either doing so, or inadvertantly
letting it SEEM so to students / onlookers. Feel free to instruct me in
more effective way of making this point - private email or whatever.
