Leg ulcer

Post by Medo Ross Draven »

Can't seem to locate the initial post about the leg ulcer. I see a
fair amount of skin conditions and sometimes, to keep it simple and
to allow more time to repertorize, I saturate the system internally
and externally with Echinacea and Baptisia. This sets up a more
hygenic and safer ground for homeopathic cure.

I had a phone call this morning from a former patient who knows someone who has a leg ulcer amongst other emotional issues and wanted to know if I could help. In case this person does get in touch, academically has anyone on the list treated a bad long time leg ulcer with any success? Is it a constitutional rather than a specific remedy that helped the most?

Hi Rochers,

Hmmmm... I didn't realise a leg ulcer was an emotional issue.lol.

Yes have treated long time leg ulcers in elderly with success.
(Harder if they're diabetic)

What do you mean by a 'constitutional' remedy and by a 'specific'
remedy?

Rochelle, Absolutely go for totality of symptoms.
You might have to peel away layers because this person is probably very
chronically ill.
Don't discount Lyc, Sil, CarbV for leg ulcers and there are many others
but I've always never gone wrong when there was a totality of symptoms.
Leg Ulcers also can come from poor circulation as well.
If you take it on, Let us know how it works out.

HI Rochelle, I have treated a couple of leg ulcers and found it was a
specific remedy in both cases followed by a constitutioanl one. I also found
that accesssory measures were just as important. The first patient I had was
a paraplegic and making him aware of how the pathophysiology of his leg
actaully worked (ie blood supply in, immune products and their movement
through his leg, lymphatic drainage etc) and helped him to become very
innovative as to assisting these processes. The stasis in the leg often is
the block the cure and there are many ways of overcoming these. Also diet
and nutrition. Prevention of reoccurrences etc all played a part. and he has
not had a reccurence since. (he had had quite a few in the past and this one
had been present for some 9 months before I got a chance to treat it. If you
would like to take this further feel free to contact me individually. The
remedy in both cases was a single dose of Lachesis 30C which continued to
act over some nearly 3-5 months. I gave placebo in one of the cases. Regards
