Analytical- rubric?

Post by Rochelle »

I have a patient that analyses everything e.g. the reason her son does what
he does or why others say what they do. I think that she has to do this so
things do not appear to be her fault.
There is no rubric that I can find for analytical - but I don't have
Synthesis rep. I am interested in any rubrics that anyone can come up with
and /or what miasm this could be.

Regards,
Rochelle

it's not exactly what you describe but you might look at

QUESTIONS, speaks continually in ambr, aur

also, is it akin to theorizing or intellectualizing. try these rubrics

MIND - EMOTIONS - predominated by the intellect lyc, nat m, nit ac, plb, valer, zinc
MIND - INTELLECTUAL lyc, sulph
MIND - THEORIZING (34) Canni i (3), aur (2), sulph (3), (these are the biggest rx in the bunch)
MIND - INTROSPECTION (97)
MIND - REFLECTING (29)
MIND - ANSWERING - reflecting long (15)

Dear Rochelle,

It seems to me that you have three distinct issues here.

Wanting to see the world as others do - is this denial of self, confusion or
the need to connect with the other person.

Have so little belief in themselves, cannot/will not connect with their own
thoughts.

Someone who cannot tolerate being wrong, her opinion alone is correct.

On the one hand you could have a remedy such as Camphor which constantly
needs to be diverted from thought about themselves; or Coffea which has easy
comprehension - heightened reasoning; then there could be Sulphur who will
try to give you a reason for everything; and Lycopodium who dictates what
the reasons are and can never be wrong.

The rubric 'theorizing' seems to come close but I think you need to pin this
down?

Regards, Joy

rochelle, does your pt. act on her assessments or merely cogitate.....what
type of relations does this person cultivate? Does she 'reach out' and make
contact with friends or acquantances? Are all her t's crossed and i's
dotted?

Dear Isali,
You obviously have a Rx in mind!!

Her assessments are to placidate herself so that she doesn't feel it is her
fault. e,g, when her child was naughty in school she felt it personally and
reflected on it from his point of view thinking about what his feelings
were:-why he did /said what he did, how he must have felt in the
circumstances. Also she said "I debate things with myself . I have to look
at both sides of an argument".

Dear Joy,
or

I may be wrong but I reckon she wants others to see the world as she does!!
Possibly - I shall investigate this one when I see her next.
Yes she is > for diversion. I don't see Camphor here but will give it a
read.

Rochelle, Synthesis has MIND-THINKING-analytcal thinking - ability for:
Thuja

However, I have a client who is similar to this who has had Causticum and
Lyc successfully for various ailments over time. Both these remedies have
this element in them, however there is usually censoriousness involved, as
in faultfinding.

Robyn

Dear Rochelle

It is more important to ask her why she analyses - listen to what she says
and don't guess at why she does it - this will give you the best chance at
finding a remedy - we should never assume we know why another person does
what they do. If she doesn't know get her to tell you about how long she
has done it - what happens if she doesn't analyse everything etc etc - dig a
little deeper but remember the generals of the case too.

Good luck
Louise
