I think you must have a typographical error -- the remedy is surely
Kreosotum, which is pretty well known having been proved about 150 years
ago, and I would think would be found in pretty much any MM.

I am guessing you mean Kreosotum - to be found in virtually every Materia

Re: remedy help
Arun,
Have you had a look at Veratrum?
It has
Fem Gen/sex - Menses - painful - nausea and vomiting
perspiration profuse menses during
stomach thirst menses during
generals food and drinks warm drinks agg
Veratrum also has fainting turns
I think that the vomiting and fainting from pain is more significant, and rather unusual compared to warm drinks desires and agg. Thirst with aggravation from drinks may be all that is needed! even though the desire for cold drinks is in Veratrum, the agg from warm drinks is there
Just an idea!

Hi,
thanks to all who respnded
shannon, i take it that the rubric is from ref. works ? synthesis does not
have abd cramping pain warmth agg. It has warm applications > and cham is
in there.
andy, i know you are only giving possible remedies to look at, and that's
exactly what i need !
elaps did come up (for the < warm drinks) but did not fit in with the
rest.
robyn, i'll keep in mind veratrum as she may need remedies for the acute
situation.(during menses)
i had given veratr in another case - where she had similar symptoms (no warm
< , but more pain, vomiting, collapse, thirst)
but did not respond. I guess that was still on my mind ..... Do you
have good results with veratr. in menstrual pains - esp as "acute"?
regards,
Arun

Dear Arun, a bit late but a few thoughts regarding your post.
There are some keynotes which seem to contra-indicate Pulsatilla - they are
averse to and lying on it. This
latter keynote might also contra-indicate Pulsatilla as it has aggravation
from lying on one side. But Pulsatilla does have "pain abdomen, after
drinking."
Remember the essence of Pulsatilla is changeability, unpredictable and
contradictory, so if her symptoms appear to be doing that then this also
covers the case.
But more generally:- Bryonia has both the desire and aggravation from warm
drinks, it has menstrual irregularities with gastric symptoms but if you
have prescribed Pulsatilla then the mentals and emotionals of Bryonia would
hardly seem to fit.
Lachesis has left sided ovarian pain and is << warm/hot drinks, and painful
menses.
There is one obvious remedy which might be worth considering - Sulphur - has
both the desire and aggravation from warm drinks, painful menses, fainting
with pain and during menses, lots of gastric symptoms, pain in abdomen after
drinking, pain left ovary which usually extends upwards, they have to be
lying down (cannot stand during the pain), << warm applications.
Hope this helps,
Best wishes, Joy

Re: remedy help
Hi joy,
thanks for the ideas, actually sulph and lach had come first and second in
repertorisation ! - i had prescribed on the first visit itself, before a
complete repertorisation could be done.
i had taken the lying
on it ) - puls has > pressure / lying on painful side or more generally, >
lying on abdomen - i had taken this symptom as one of the pointers towarsd
puls
on a more general note, would you really consider a particular symptom will
"contradict" a remedy ? - in that if you have it, you will not prescribe a
certain remedy ? personally i would be more comfortable if for eg.in puls
the patient has averse to or atleast did not have a marked desire for warm
food/drinks. But at the same time, i wonder whether it cannot be an
expression of something lying "beneath" - sulph or lyc. for example.
