[hpe] Arnica Accident?
[hpe] Arnica Accident?
Give him a 200 potency as this is more dynamic than a 1M and repeat as
needed.

yeh thats what i can never decide, 200 may be better cos its more dynamci,
but then 1m is higher - thus stronger??!!, so in effect dont they equal
themselves out? argh who knows?!?!?!

Re: [hpe] Arnica Accident?
I think it should be quite clear:
We must each know for ourselves and not depend on who says 3c and who says
50M
Take all this stuff as possibly relevant input, then find out what seems to
work best under your own particular observations, and don't try to
over-generalize.
each individual = whole new case
There is not and will not ever be any such perfectly useful general rule as
one potency is "more dynamic"
What is important is matching the dynamic of the remedy with what is needed
in your individual case.
"high" & "low" are more relevant to a pharmacist; have more relevance to
each other... than they do to your individual case.
Learn to match potency to acute nature of symtpoms (or not) ... match to
onset and severity of symptoms
vs. -individual sensitivity.
What works perfectly well for one person, might aggravate the living hell
out of another.
Or might not even touch the case of another.
Individuals, all.

Re: [hpe] Arnica Accident?
Actually racking my brains, Im sure when we went to see GV in Alonnissos,
one of those Islands where the motor skooter type bikes are in vogue. Im
sure one of the students had an accident & I feel sure that GV suggested
50m, saying that anything lower would not address it.
However, my memory is not great, so im going to ask carol & see if she can
remember - ill let u all know............

Re: [hpe] Arnica Accident?
HOw recent? This accident happened about 2.5 wks ago, he started taking
arnica 30 3/day about a week after & has had NO change whatsoever, so much
so that the dr/physio cant do anything for him until next week, as the
swelling hasnt gone down at all - according to the hospital & him.
So what do u mean by recent?
thanx
repeated as needed
motorbike ran into him. He hasnt broken his leg but obviously it is very
swollen, painful etc.
it? otherwise what wld be the best potency & i can order some.

Re: [hpe] Arnica Accident?
perhaps he needs a different remedy. not all traumas/swelling respond to
arnica. are there arnica indicators in the modalities, physical generals,
etc.?

Re: [hpe] Arnica Accident?
Putting aside the interesting discussion about preferred or accurate choice
of potency I would think that after this amount of Arnica I would be
thinking that it is not the correct remedy. There are many other remedies
which could suit this case.
Post all the details of the case if you feel you need some help/advice.

Re: [hpe] Arnica Accident?
If, after one or two days in a situation like this, the remedy is not
helping you must either:
1. adjust potency
2. change remedy
3. refer the case
Ideally, Arnica in physical trauma would be given immediately.
It still could be suitable
(but only if it *IS* suitable: take the case as if you didn't think you
already knew the snappy quick answer !)
As a general rule, taking a remedy 3x daily for a week, and finding no
result ...
(.... trying to think of a 'nice' way to say this.....)
