Calc for the elderly

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

It is said that when one becomes old, one becomes more and more like a child
(almost as if the two ends of the cycle of life are about to meet together
at death at old age.) [a little like the exreme right wing and left wing
political parties have similar extreme policies!!??]

There is a lot of childish behaviour in the elderly and quite a lot of these
symptoms match with calc.

There is a tremendous fear and apprehension, esp fear of death, confusion of
mind, fear that something might happen etc.

Of course as it has been said VERY ACCURATELY, one can only prescribe it, if
the symptoms demand it.

If you read the mind section in Clarke's Dictionary, you will see what I
mean!

Hi Shanny,

The short answer to your short question is -- No!!!!!
Calc-c is a polychrest, one of the most commonly indicated remedies, has a
large and complex picture. It is *not* "mostly for those..." anything at
all! Read up on it; it's one you will need to know, and to know very well.
It's commonly needed for infants and children of course, and also for old
people, and is also a frequently needed one for "the rest of us". There's
*no* short answer re calc-c -- you just have to read, and read a lot!

Best wishes and happy reading!
:-)

thanx shannon, but i am well aware that its a polychrest - it ws the lst rx
we learnt. however, it is a rx that seems to allude me a little.
my question is regarding the elderly, many homs advocate that it is good to
give to elderly failry 'routinely'. one college in England even issues a
handout, stating that one should give it to an elderly person perhaps
1-2/yr.

my 2nd email is in reply to Finrod's message, in which they stated that

one becomes more and more like a child. There is a lot of childish
behaviour in the elderly and quite a lot of these
symptoms match with calc.

It seemed to equate a little with my mother (81), who has mild alzheimers,
however my father who is 90 is nothing like (thank God) - i ws then trying
to u/stand/assume, that perhaps calc may be more indicated in the elderly
with memories problems????
