next question - bruises

Post by ForumGal »

Friends,
Here's my next question.
Is there a name for the condition of bruises on the legs, not caused by
impact? Like, a circulation problem? Blue blobs on the leg, hurt like
bruises when touched. There's no "bruises" in Kent or Boericke; there's of
course extremities and skin discoloration -- is that where to look? And is
there a "disease" name for the condition? Thanks.

Best, Margaret

If there are bruises with no remembered inpact, it generally means that the
capillaries are inordinately fragile. It's a form of purpura, and is quite
common in elderly people. Increasing dietary or supplementary bioflavonoids
can be helpful.

In Synthesis, page 1188, there are rubrics: EXTREMITIES- discoloration Leg
blue ecchymosis (crot-h), or purpura (kali-i, Lach(2), Phos (3), Sec (2)).
High intensity remedies under the discoloration leg blue rubric are:
Anthraci (2), Carb-an (2), Carbon-s (2), Nux-v (3)
