Dear Rebekah
Thank you for your post.
Minutus is a reflection of its members’ posts.
It was set up as a discussion group for Hahnemannian Homeopathy, and specifically to avoid politics unless it directly affected healthcare.
Some colleagues from time to time post something that is not 100% within these guidelines, but the discussion usually ends well.
I have tried to interest the group in some activities – like taking a well-known character and from what we can observe from them to make a list of characteristics and rubrics and then perhaps find a remedy. It was basically a tool to hone one’s observational abilities.
However, this caused such lot of negative furore that was quickly discontinued.
I have tried going through the Organon one aphorism at a time and discuss its meaning - this also did not raise much of a discussion.
From time to time colleagues present a problem – this produces the highest level of help and fast response and in general good advice and help.
If you have any ideas on how else we can improve Minutus, then please share them with us.

May I take this opportunity to wish everybody the blessings of the Season and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2019.
For those Christians who believe that 25th December is the birthday of Jesus Christ, then Merry Christmas to you too.
Best wishes
Soroush

I agree Shannon. If anyone knows of another group (that is email based vs facebook), that is well moderated and focused on professional homeopathic practice and study, please share! I keep reading these minutus emails for the occasional pearls of homeopathic wisdom, but the majority of the posts are more troubling than helpful.
Best,
Rebekah

Re: Minutus was Show of hands?
I am and I have always been a seeker of real truth. Kinda hard in a world with so much deception. I am greatly concerned that we are so divided - is it divide and conquer? Is that what's going on? If so, should we be aware and recognize it? Should we ask, "Who is dividing us and for what purpose?" If we choose not to be aware, then are willing and open to being herded like cattle and likely divided and conquered? I am not.
I do apologize to all of you for my tendency to get excited about some of what I think are the real truths of where these dark forces want us to go and who is doing it and why. Maybe I am right, and maybe I am only a little bit right - it is not easy to tell and likely they don't want us to know - but I think it is better than doing nothing. Ya, but maybe I get a little too carried away and not too appropriate. I am sorry for that.
I do enjoy these minutus emails, I think it is a great concept and I do not want to ruin it for anyone.
As to Homeopathy, I think we might all agree, that there are forces that would like to conquer Homeopathy.
Some months ago I was on a site called "Science based Medicine" and they had a thread that was against Homeopathy, they said it couldn't work, was scientifically impossible that these sugar pills or charged waters could do anything , it was placebo effect, there was nothing wrong with silver fillings, I was imagining things and I could provide no data that would scientifically prove that Homeopathy worked. They really ganged up and beat up on me and told me that I was a nut case and worse. I finally caught on that they were some doctors and mostly shills paid for by drug companies. They are hoping that the FDA will take over Homeopathy, force clinical trials according to their medical philosophy, and, of course, destroy availability of Homeopathic remedies.
It was battle royal, rough and tumble politics - ya, it is politics - most of the budget of the FDA is paid for by fees the drug companies pay and there is a revolving door with the drug companies - one crook in and one crook out - its all about the money- and the drug companies have a drug member on the board of every media company - ya, I told them all that, ooh.
For scientific data, I am a scientist and I had to remind them that science accepts the validity of empirical data, as to what works.
I finally told them that 500 million people around the world repeatedly vote with their dollars that Homeopathy works in buying Homeopathic remedies. The placebo effect is no way that reliable that these 500 million people are helped by placebo, over and over.
That is empirical data that cannot be disregarded, as to the efficacy of Homeopathy.
They had also said I that I must be angry that I couldn't win - and I told them, no, I love you guys, even if you don't have a scientific leg to stand on.
They finally faded the thread and it didn't take any more comments. I think I won.
Ya, it is politics, and disgusting as it is, somebody's gotta make the fight. I, myself, would rather stick to Homeopathy, but, when it is in danger by political and money forces, I will fight.
So, now you know a little of where I am coming from. I am bad, but maybe I am not so terribly bad.
Anyway, I will try to stick to Homeopathy in my future posts on here. I have much to say about that and I also need help to understand this wonderful science that science does not understand.
