This is my newest article at Mercola's website, and it may be my most important article ever.
This year is the 100th anniversary of the 1918 flu epidemic when 50 million people died. Aspirin went off patent in 1917, and the AMA recommended 25 aspirin tablets PER day to suppress fever, though many doctors recommended even higher doses. Today, it is widely known that aspirin should never be used for people with the flu, let alone 25 asprin tablets!
Usually, the flu kills infants and elders, but THIS flu killed more people between 18 and 40 years of age because they were prescribed fever-suppressing drugs...and they were found to have bleeding in their lungs. Now what drug causes bleeding? Aspirin! Please share this warning! And yes, there are good and effective homeopathic medicines for the flu.

One of the leading homeopathic medicines used to treat people with the flu is Oscillococcinum, for which there have been four double-blind studies showing efficacy. What’s also intriguing about this medicine is that it is made from the heart and liver of a duck. If you’ve heard of the BIRD FLU, then you may know that ducks are birds…and biologists and epidemiologists consider ducks to be a leading carrier of flu viruses. Flu viruses do not seem to kill ducks, though 100% of chickens who get exposed to it die from it. It seems that homeopathic doses of duck “innards” convey immunological benefits to people suffering from the flu. It is almost as though it is “duck soup”!

Dear all
Homoeopaths criticize allopaths for whatever they do. But are we any better? We sell (at least in India) millions of bottles of influenzinum to prevent influenza. Have we ever done any research on that. Every year I have to treat many disappointed patients who claim they took the homoeopathic preventive for chickenpox or influenza or measles and still got the disease. It is time we stop fooling people - there is no tailor-made prophylactic in Homoeopathy for anything. This is against the basic principle of Homoeopathy where you have to individualize each patient and each epidemic. If there is an epidemic and you manage to find the genus epidemicus - well good for you go ahead and try that (but even that is not 100 percent).
So next time somebody asks you if you have a preventive for so and so disease simply say no - but tell them if you ever get that disease you can take Homoeopathy it works wonderfully for the disease. At least that is what I do.
Best regards
Elham
