It is difficult to understand… Sheri, you say Fox used to be leaders of “fake news”. (We’ve probably all seen reference to the studies showing that people who watched lots of Fox News knew less about politics and events compared with even people who watched no news at all—in other words they were not merely failing to inform, but were actively mis-informing.
What then has changed, to have brought about your (apparently new) respect for them? Are there different people doing the investigations and reports?
Or maybe they are now reporting on issues for which the (speaking simply) facts are in support of their preferred point of view anyway, so it’s both easier and more in their interests to simply report, rather than distorting?
Again, I’m exploring, trying to understand some viewpoints that I find confusing.
