Gadolinium toxicity

Post by Pauline Ashford »

HI wondering if anyone has come across Gadolinium toxicity form a contrast medium – and if so how did you go treating it? I am awaiting a full symptom picture from the enquirer – but thought I’d ask now to see if anyone has dealt with it?
https://gdtoxicity.files.wordpress.com/ ... survey.pdf interesting paper on symptoms found in this toxicity.
Have put her initial email below
Hi Pauline - I am contacting you on the offchance that you know about and can help with Gadolinium Toxicity. I received a contrast iv in April 2015 and became ill one week later. I have seen numerous doctors in the time between and have only come to the realisation that my problems started then.

I believe the injection included heavy metals and I have nervous system breakdown, adrenal fatigue etc. and my head is like a magnet - I cannot talk on the mobile or hands free phone as everything blocks up.

Of course - the medical profession won't admit to that being the problem! I have to get these heavy metals out of my system and am wondering if you can help?

There is a lawsuit being brought by Chuck Norris against the companies that use Gadolinium as contrast medium for MRIs.

https://articles.mercola.com/sites/arti ... -gbca.aspx
and it s linked to brain abnormalities

https://articles.mercola.com/sites/arti ... agent.aspx
Has it been homeopathically proven?

No proving thus far. Here’s what Vermeulen says about it:

"The most common serious side effect from GBCAs [gadolinum-based contrast agents] is an allergic reaction that is usually mild but is occasionally severe and even results in fatalities. Some patients develop skin conditions, such as rash, sweating, itching, hives, and facial swelling. GBCAs can be very irritating to the veins into which they are injected, causing irritation of blood vessels and skin and the formation of blood clots.
• Nephrogenic systemic fibrosis [NSF] has been reported following administration of all five FDA approved gadolinium-based contrast agents… As of 2007, at least 96 reported cases of NSF have been associated with gadolinium-containing contrast media. NSF has been reported only in patients with severe kidney disease. NSF causes fibrosis of the skin and connective tissues throughout the body. Skin involvement in NSF is symmetrical, with extensive waxy thickening and hardening of the extremities and torso. Skin can become hyperpigmented and take on a 'woody' texture with plaques and subcutaneous nodules. Unlike scleromyxedema, NSF tends to spare the skin of the head and neck, and is not associated with paraproteinemia…
• Retained gadolinium affects more than the skin. Autopsies of deceased NSF patients have found extensive multiorgan fibrosis and calcification, as well as vascular and extracellular deposits of gadolinium.”

As the Stones used to sing, a choice of cancer or polio — or disorders equally unfortunate.

Peace,
Dale

More information on Gadolinium :

Announcement from the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency 14th December 2017:
“A review has found that low levels of gadolinium can be retained in the brain and other tissues after administration of gadolinium-containing contrast agents (GdCAs). There is currently no evidence that gadolinium deposition in the brain has caused adverse neurological effects in patients; however, licences for gadodiamide (Omniscan) and intravenous gadopentetic acid (also known as gadopentetate dimegulumine; Magnevist) will be suspended from 1 February 2018 and these products will be recalled. The use of gadobenic acid (also known as gadobenate dimeglumine; MultiHance) and gadoxetic acid (Primovist) will be limited to delayed phase liver imaging only.”
