Neck injury patient

Post by Maria Bohle »

I came to you for some insights on a patient who had 3 slipped discs in his neck, he is a man in his 30s and has been homeless and out of work for a year and a half.

I had given him Heliodrillus in LM potency, he was doing well.
I also gave him Tarentula, 6C which ended the problem of what sounded like Stenosis and actually did turn out to be that condition.

He came to our BIH clinic and had a complete case taken.

Patient was given Bute j, the Red Tailed Hawk remedy in an LM 1 potency.

Patient said he felt like he needed to straighten his back and neck, stood up taller, (I was surprised as he is 6 feet tall, thin, light boned, and now I could see his height.

He is doing very well. He stopped taking the Heliodrillus remedy as he felt he did not need it anymore and is still doing well with his neck, stopped the Tarentula also, I told him if he felt he needed them he could take them, but not to take them unless needed. He is doing well,
Feeling great and working.

He got into a motorcycle accident when a truck, going too fast swerved into his lane, he ditched the bike and injured a hand and foot, probably sprained and strained them but he responded to Arnica and some hypericum and he is healing fine.

He said what was really interesting was it did not hurt his neck at all.

He is doing very, very well, says he is happy, that homeopathy has saved his life and he is getting on with his life.

Warmly, Maria

ps. I did get a chiropractor with a medical and acupuncture background (one of our advanced students) to examine his neck, he said it was not too likely he could make it worse, and we were on safe ground with the treatment.

Thank you all for your imput, this case worked out well for the patient and gave me an opportunity to explain 'bird' remedies to the student, and yes, referrenced Johnathan Shores Book on Bird Remedies.

Congratulations, Maria! It’s wonderful to have such encouraging follow-up to your initial presentation of this case.

Maria,

If there are things you can share about what led to this choice of remedy, I think we’d all love to hear! I know birds as a group only a little, and not familiar with what distinguishes Bute j, the Red Tailed Hawk?

He seemed to rep out with Lachesis but no fit on mental. Had characteristic sx of birds with the hand flexing ( numbness sensations) wanting to be helpful and family oriented but still a loner type.

Snakes are reptiles but so are ( a stretch maybe) birds. Either starving , picking and eating a little all day or not hungry at all.

Main bird affinity is the neck ( I think with snakes is more swallowing and birds a bit more bones structure.

It was a jump but one that worked. One student suggested the small eared owl so may refine as he is quiet, likes structure and has a nocturnal streak.
But for now all is good.
