Please, if you are not interested in the prophylactic use of homeopathy, ignore this message. I know there to be some controversy about this, even among some homeopaths. But I would rather discuss this in a spirit of unity – as was promoted at the Homeopathy One conference in Belgium in mid-October. I will not argue with anyone, and freely allow everyone their free choice and am not here to force anything upon anyone.
I simply wanted to share with you all here just a bit about the very successful conference that took place just a month ago in the Netherlands.
Homeoprophylaxis: The Educated Choice was attended by people from at least 10 different countries, most of whom were homeopaths or homeopathic students. We had speakers from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Japan, India, Australia, and the USA. One of these is a very well-known attorney who has worked very hard for decades promoting natural wellness. His primary care provider since about 1970 has been a homeopath – and he is very intrigued by the prophylactic use of homeopathy. He himself wants this recognized as an acceptable alternative to disease prevention.
The nation of India already does.
Two of the speakers are from Germany – Dr. Ravi Roy and his wife, Carola Lage-Roy. Dr. Roy comes from a homeopathic family in India, but moved to Germany in the late 1970’s to study homeopathy in its “native” country. Because most of their work is still only published in German, not a lot of people outside German speaking lands know of how solidly homeopathic his and his wife’s writings and teachings are. They have been educating German homeopathic practitioners in homeopathic prophylaxis for decades. The idea of this nontoxic option is nothing new.
The call for further understanding and use of nontoxic “HP” was very profound at this conference – and, with what I do, I find this reflective of what is happening all over. The research supporting homeoprophylaxis and its effectiveness is solid.
HPWWC is already beginning plans for the next conference. The facts are standing ever more solidly for themselves. I am happy to share information about what I know and have experienced and encourage you – again, only those of you who so desire – to please do your own research and decide for yourselves what you would like to do. I know there are several other practitioners on this list who utilize nontoxic homeoprophylaxis. It will be great if we could, together, provide discussion points for those here who have questions and would like to discuss these in an open atmosphere. Again, I will not argue with anyone about this. Negative energies propagate on themselves – and, in the end, nothing positive happens with this.

Hello, in this vein, has anyone found the book The Complete Practitioner's Manual of Homeoprophylaxis by Dr. Isacc Golde of any help? Or, what resources do you use? I have a sheet for babies from 6 months on by a Naturopathic doc in Az.

First of all, my apologies that I didn’t see your note sooner. I’m only on “Digest” mode here on Minutus, and only have now seen this!
Isaac Golden’s Complete Practitioner’s Manual for Homoeoprophylaxis is a great starting point for understanding the concepts of homeopathic prophylaxis. Isaac himself says again and again that his is not the only method of “HP”. One of the reasons I started putting these conferences together is because his name is quite well-known, especially in the English-speaking world – I feel, with so many issues being raised about vaccines, that it is good to know and understand the many other methods homeopathy is being used very well prophylactically.
But, again, because of the tremendous amount of research and documentation he has done, Isaac Golden’s works are a great place to start. This book is quite easy to follow, especially when you have had homeopathic training.
One thing to keep in mind, too, is the issue of titers. These have become the “gold standard” of indication of immunity. What is rather ironic about this is that it has been known for at least 20 years that the presence of titers does not always equate to immunity – nor does the absence of these necessarily always indicate immunity is not there. What is on record, though, is that the use of homeopathy for prophylaxis stands at right about 90% effectiveness – and this is when known exposure to disease has taken place. Isaac and many other homeopaths from several countries have this well-documented. Immunity is truly a whole body thing, not simply the presence of titers.
This being said, there have been anecdotal studies that have shown titers developing after administration of HP. But this is the exception, not the rule. What stands is the effectiveness of about 90% when HP has been used.
