And—I would guess that among titanium-reactive people the specific reactions could vary. And in retrospect, my first clue was that I just didn’t “bounce back”, month after month. But I didn’t want to “be a crybaby”.
The tingling sensations only started maybe a year after, and I certainly didn’t need to wait that long!
Interesting dream…
I’m not sure there’s a better alternative to those plates, for some situations. Possibly she could plan on leaving it in just until the bones have healed enough not to need them, and then have them removed? With homeopathy and good nutrition perhaps only a few weeks?
From the start I hated the feeling of it, and seemed that I was almost constantly aware of it. But, it did the job!
In retrospect I’d still have had it in, but would have gotten it out quicker.
Hard to remember. I’m thinking I stayed off it completely for at least several days, but started hobbling after that, and probably walking normally within (?)a couple of weeks? It was certainly FAR less of a big deal than the original episode.

It's wonderful that your daughter is calling and telling you about dreams. When this is all over, you may see it as a significant turning point in her life. For the better.

Dear Shannon,
Try the little joint mobility movements that I sent you above.
Imagine this scenario. If after your surgery, you were a bit less mobile, your joint mobility could have decreased. The toxins from all kinds of sources could deposit there. You feel worse, so you move less. Things just get worse for the same reason. Even if the titanium is the "cause", try to remove other obstacles to cure.
If I lose my keys, the first step is house or drawer cleaning. Do the big obvious thing that will help in any case.
Best,
Ellen Madono

Thanks Ellen, that makes a lot of sense!
You sent links about it, yes? I’m behind… But it sounds very worth working with, and I’ll have a try!

Hi Shannon,
Here is the list again. I worked on it a bit again.
I gave me very clear results in one week doing it every day. Before starting, it is important to listen to the logic behind. Also, peek at the intermediate to see where you are going. If the beginning looks too easy, still do it.
Today, I discovered that loosening my whole body while going into the movement is very good. This comes from qi gong practice. The allopathic approach is to move quickly and to use muscles. But, the object is to open up, so easing into the movement is not just safer, it is more effective. If you are aware of what you are doing, you don't need to do it so many times.
Why intu-flow? Watch both videos for a full introduction to the reasoning behind joint mobility.
Beginning exercises. Stop the video to try out the exercise. On a mac, use the space bar.
Neck and shoulder intu-flow Hold a chair arm or table to prevent your shoulders from rising.
Arms Intu-flow Note that he uses his whole torso to move the arm.
Hips Intu-flow
On the mat
There are lots of other teachers out there, but these are the one’s who helped me with the general concept.
The Pattern of movement explained
Comparison with bodybuilding
Tips on how to practice
Other beginner tips by Scott
For people limited to sitting a 3 part series
A free booklet for rehabilitation. Mostly the same as the above videos
Intermediate (When I was beginning, it helped me to look ahead so I could see where I was going. Also, in many cases, I could do this intermediate stuff and it was more entertaining. Fun is important.)
Intermediate part 1 mobility Neck
Intermediate Wrists
Intermediate spine
4 corner balance
5 joint mobility
6 joint mobility on the mat
More talk about how to work out in this series and some moves.
More advanced flow exercise

Tanya,
I looked at my extra tubes and found some of the small ones are going to rot. They will decay because they are natural rubber. I am not using them. I bought them out of curiosity in case I need them for patients. So, someone should use them soon. So, I will send them to you. Probably, because they are so light and small they won't cost more than ordinary air mail. 2 dollars at most. So just give me your address or your daughter's address.
Best,
Ellen
