post surgery

Post by Tanya Marquette »

I am putting a list of remedies and protocols for after my daughter's
foot surgery scheduled Oct 11 next month

Hard to know exactly what she will need but given the bone breakage,
cartilege removal, replacement of damaged ligaments

I think some basic remedies will be useful. Am thinking of

Arnica

Staph

Calc ph

Hypericum

Symph

Ruta

Rhus t
Any thoughts from others?
thank you

Do you know her constitutional, or any that have been useful to her in a chronic sort of way?

not really. she is too controlling to really give me her case or to follow thru.

right now she is intensely focused on preparing for after the surgey.

she also does not want people around her afterwards.

when out of control can be quite hostile and mean

Hi Tanya,
I would be asking for the situations when these remedies can be taken and in what order.
My guess would be
Arnica montana one dose before surgery. Also, continual dosing untill the swelling goes down. The bruised feeling goes away.
Muscle cut pain: Calendula officinalis says Mangialavori as a specific

Sharp nerve pain: Hyp
Pain near the tendon or bone: Ruta
Pain more on the muscle with the other symptoms: Rhus-t
Muscle bone building later: Calc-phos
She sounds like Ruta might be good in general. I will send you more literature privately. (I am working on the notes, so give me a day).
I raised my kids to be independent and they too are down right ornery. It is so hard to live when you can't accept any help. Hard to blame them.
Send a package with each remedy in an envelope with instructions written on it and another single sheet with all the instructions. Even then, if it were my kid, she would forget that Mom sent help. Or forget that instructions were included. Any excuse to be dumb and independent. Don't take on my negativity. I just try to pretend that I did not notice the negative vibes coming my way. Cheery mom. La la.
Best,

Hi Tanya,

Some time ago, while grocery shopping, a container of sea salt slipped thru my hand and landed on my foot. OUCH! Judging by the pain, I was pretty sure my big toe was broken.

Once home, I iced the toes while I checked for a remedy. Decision: Arnica 30C aquaous, succussed 3X before each dose and Hypericum 30C aquaous, succussed 3X before each dose, alternating every 15 minutes. (These remedies "play well together")

Elevated foot and was resting, the pain was subsiding, dosing reduced to every 30 minutes. Some time later there was a "sharp, ascending pain" from foot to about the knee. OK, proving symptom. Discontinue Hypericum 30C and continue Arnica 30C, succussed every hour. Sleep was restless, but pain was OK.

Added Bioplasma cell salts and continued Arnica 30C succussed about 4-5 times a day slowly reducing to none. Took about 2 weeks to return to some what comfortable walking.

Lesson learned: you really can't hop on one foot with a full cup of tea.

Atb,

Leilanae

thanks Leilani. Never used Bioplasma cell salts. Is it a combo of all of them?

A question I have is taking Arnica before the surgery or not? I have read mixed comments on this?

Hi Tanya,

Bioplasma is a combination of the cell salts. I used it as a nutrient "support" for a couple of days.

I don't know the answer to the question Arnica before..........is this about blood coagulation?

I have heard some people say Arnica before surgery can cause bleeding and others say it is good for the shock.

So I am befuddled on this.

Will try to get the bioplasma--thanks

I have never had a problem telling patients to take an Arnica 30 just before the surgery
