PMR and lymphocitis colitis

Post by Tanya Marquette »

I am in touch with a woman, probably in her 60's who is suffering most
likely

from PMR ( polymyalgia rheumatica) and Lymphocytic colitis. Both are
auto-immune

conditions from what I can gather. As per ususal, allopathy has no
known cause but

anti-inflammatories are given, Prednisone being a major one.
What experiences do others have in treating these conditions?

What cautionary considerations are to be followed? This woman cannot

tolerate Magnesium in any serious dosage so would be interested in how

to up her Mag intake?

Hi Tanya,

Food
Cell Salts
Mag Glycinate, start low (100MG) and work up to bowel tolerance.

(Mag Gly is absorbed similar to amino acids, not dependent on stomach acid for absorption.)

Would she tolerate a hot bath with Epsom salts?

Joe.

Thanx Leilanae

With the Cell Salts, are you talking about all of them? Simultaneously?

That is a question I have, too? Her colitis limits her ability to take supplement dosages of any consequence.

I would hope cell salts or a homepathic rx would be better tolerated.

I’d guess she’s suggesting to consider the cell salt mag-phos as a form of magnesium she could probably tolerate.
Depending on her symptoms and on her overall picture, other of the homeopathic magnesiums could also be worth a look, and e.g. I would look at Scholten’s description as part of it.

Hi Tanya,
No symptoms were given. So.........., I'm guessing Bioplasma, a combination of all the cell salts may be a helpful starting place if

the system is depleted. (Some vitamins too?)
There was a mention of magnesium.
The mag I suggested is Magnesium Glycinate. It is absorbed similar to amino acids, and not dependent on stomach acid for absorption. Most people can gradually increase to 400 MG without loose stool or in your case looser stool.

Yes, loose stool is a big issue. My worry is the loss of gut bacteria and dehydration.

She takes a probiotic but I think the person she saw suggested very low doses of anything.

The rheumatioid md she saw suggested only 1000 i.u. daily of Vit D3 w/o even suggesting a blood test.

My sense is she needs at least 5000 i.u. daily and a blood test so she can see where her body is at on this hormone.

My growing understanding of PMR is that is/may be related to low hormone levels. Is that what you/others

here know about it?

I see no one has suggested Magnesium oil spray which is sprayed onto the skin and doesn’t go through digestive system? If it tingles it means you need the Magnesium. It can be eft on or washed off once rubbed it.
