Silicea to remove a BB pellet
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone here has used Silicea to remove a bullet or any metal pieces deeply embedded into flesh?
I have a cat who has a BB pellet embedded deeply between his spine and the vocal box. It is so deep that no surgeon wants to perform a surgery to remove it.
If it was just sitting there and not causing issues, I would not be worried, but the bullet is pressing on the vocal box and on the muscles and cartilage that open and close the larynx. The laryngeal paralysis is the future state according to the internal medicine specialist.
If I use Silicea and it causes the suppuration, does anyone know if the bullet goes back the same way it came in, like through the scar tissue or it will find the least past of resistance, which means, it can go towards the spine or press even more on the vocal cord or damage nerves on its way out?
I understand it is not safe as per Materia Medica (excerpt below) but I also don't have any other options.
Any advice will be highly appreciated
- Sil. produced in the provings sensation of "splinter in the finger," of "a pin in the throat," and whenever foreign bodies have became embeded in the tissues; or whenever portions of the tissues have become necrosed and quasi-foreign, Sil. will set up suppuration in the vicinity and bring about their expulsion.
- (It is this property which makes it necessary sometimes to use Sil. with caution; if there are deposits which have became encysted and so far rendered harmless, the administration of Sil. might set up suppurative action, to the risk of the patient's life.)
thank you,
Dace

Re: Silicea to remove a BB pellet
I have used Silicea to remove metal splinters and a deeply embedded tick head. Nothing near what you're trying to accomplish, but there was no suppuration. The pieces did exit the way they came.
Seems like it's worth a try.
Peace,
Dale

Sheilagh Creasy reported that after WW2 there many pieces of embedded shrapnel that were inoperable, but with the use of Sil, the pieces worked their way out without damaging any organ.

soroushebrahimi,
would you be able to provide an article I can read to get more information? I am not a vet and I am not a doctor. I am just a regular person who googles and reads a lot.
Before I administer anything that could potentially kill my pet, I want to read as much as possible and educate myself on the process and signs that I need to look for if something goes wrong.
thank you
Dace

Dear Dace
All you have to do is put Silicea foreign body into Google and loads of articles come up.
Every living organism has a vital force which when healthy manages the body.
When stimulated, this vital force will force out any unwanted foreign body safely out of the body.

Re: Silicea to remove a BB pellet
Why would you think Silicea might "potentially kill" your pet? Traditionally, the only contraindication to using it was in patients who'd had tuberculosis: in those cases it was thought it might open tubercles that had walled off the disease from the rest of the body.
It can expel things the body doesn't want. I had recent proof of that. When I took it to push out an embedded tick head, it also started pushing out an old crown with a stainless steel post. Does it ordinarilly do this? No. I've taken Silicea a few times over the years with no effect on my teeth. This time, however, an old root canal under that crown had failed and become infected. I didn't know that... until I discovered the tooth was loose. The crown, post, and remaining roots are now out and the infection cleared up, thanks to the "warning" I received from Silicea.

Dale

Yes, the Vital Force seems to know about hidden infections when we feel nothing. I was taking Silica for a throat infection and I noticed that it was softening chronically indurated glands. I had lots of antibiotics as a child so I thought my neck was just fat. I never had a chance to feel other necks to check out what was normal. I didn't even notice that the glands were hard like marbles until I read about Silica. Silica could not finish the job, so I am using other remedies trying to heal those glands. At least Silica could warn me that more than just the flu or a sore throat, I had a deeper chronic problem.

Re: Silicea to remove a BB pellet
Dale and Soroush,
You have to pardon my lack of knowledge and experience. I have googled for weeks trying to find any articles that would describe cases with details on dosing, strength, and duration for using silicea.
I have found many references to Silicea being used to remove shrapnel and other foreign bodies but no specifics. Furthermore, I have found also many warning to be extremely cautious if the bullet is close to vital organs. And this is the case, the BB pellet is pressing on the nerve and is impacting my cats respiratory ability.
I don't have any education or experience and if I read that, "...if there are deposits which have became encysted and so far rendered harmless, the administration of Sil. might set up suppurative action, to the risk of the patient's life.." , then you can understand that I need to do my homework. It is easy to misinterpret written word if there is no context. That's why I am here.
Thank you both for sharing your vast experience and understanding in this matter. Reading about body's vital force which takes care of itself, makes me feel more comfortable and less scared to go on this journey with my pet.
I have a good homeopath who will guide me.
thank you very much

Re: Silicea to remove a BB pellet
I'm glad if our experiences have helped you and your cat. For an otherwise healthy animal (or human), a single dose (3 pellets) of 200c potency would usually be given. That's all. Then it's up to time and the vital force to work things out.
It is amazing how wise the vital force is -- we just have to learn to trust it!
Peace,
Dale

Re: Silicea to remove a BB pellet
Hi all,
I thought I'd come and tell you about the results.
I gave my boy 3 doses of Silica 200c last year right after I posted here and learned about the vital force.
A few weeks ago I found one of the BB pellets protruding my cat's skin. It was coming out.
Now I am waiting for the one I am really concerned about (by his spine) to make it's way out of the body.
I was slightly skeptical and scared at first but trusted the process. Homeopathy still blows my mind.
Thank you all for the input and encouragement. Let's hope that I will be back soon to report on the other BB pellet's journey out of my boys body.
