Question: Dear Dr. Luc: My son 5.25 years is undergoing treatment for his ASD symptoms. My second child (2 yrs old) is not vaccinated for MMR and chickenpox. I am planning for an India trip and wondering whether I should vaccinate or not. I read from your site that homeopathic vaccination is safer. 1) From where can it be administered? Does it cause any symptoms or aggravations? 2) Some scientific studies seem to say measles virus itself can trigger ASD symptoms. If this is true, could a remedy (vaccination) trigger ASD, especially if the child is a sibling. 3) Could you please recommend eminent homeopathic doctors in India, especially in Chennai? Answer: I do not encourage homeopathic vaccination with nosodes at all. When it comes to diseases such as chickenpox and measles I prefer the child to even get the disease as it is an exercise for the child's immune system. We have excellent remedies to help the Vital Force heal in these acute diseases (in order to avoid any complication which is rare to start with), Pulsatilla one of the most used if it fits the picture. It is certainly a great remedy in prevention and treatment of many childhood diseases. A measles virus is just one of the many triggers for ASD (as long as the syphilitic miasm is present) by far not the most important ones. I taught in Chennai but at this point I don't know any name I met a lot of good young practitioners so it should not be too difficult to find one there
