[ARH-Animal-Health] SWHG supporting our Geoff and Veterinary Homeopathy

Post by Tanya Marquette »

Sorry if this was already posted, but bears repeating. You do not have to be a UK resident to sign
as it let me sign last week

Subject: SWHG supporting our Geoff and Veterinary Homeopathy
It is rare for SWHG to contact you outside our own activities but this is so important.

You may have heard of a petition doing the rounds to stop animals being treated with Homeopathy. Last Friday there was a grand slam of media attention the : Today Programme, various newspapers and TV. Here is a link to the Victoria Derbyshire TV programme. If only the pro homeopathy lobby had such media access!

If you can bear to listen to the other vet first, without throwing something at the screen, you will hear from one of Geoff's horse patient owners and Geoff himself doing an absolutely fabulous job - and quoting scientific trials and papers. Both of them cut short of all they had to say. The other vet completely ignored the scientific evidence and made totally unsupported 'anecdotal' statements. Fortunately the RCVS has stopped short of banning homeopathy for animals, at the moment.

The other petition is at 3,150 votes.
Here is the positive petition. If you feel you'd like to support Geoff Johnson, our Somerset Vet, and the homeopathic vets in the UK, then you can sign. Currently on 2,300 votes.
Exceeding the negative petition is looking eminently do-able, don't you think?

The bottom line to the vet campaign is at the bottom of the petition
* it would allow the veterinary profession to take the lead, forging the way for our human medical counterparts to do the same.

Wait, I'm confused. I clicked this thinking I would be signing, but it is an *anti* homeopathy petition.

There is a petition in support of homeopathy that was put together in response to this nonsense.

This was just to inform people of what is going on.

Maybe someone can put their finger on the petition we do want to sign and send it again. I am

stressed for time at the moment.

I can indeed put my finger on it. I sent the message below (carefully not giving a link to the anti petition) to the SW Homeopathic Group contacts to support one of our members/teachers Geoff Johnson, vet and homeopath to both people and animals, who practices in Somerset UK. He's the supporting vet in the video link in the TV programme.
Just checked the petition numbers
- Anti has moved up to 3225 (it had been static)
- Pro to 3136 - so come on folks- lets keep this going . Teresa
