I have read that animals know when a remedy is good for them and they will easily take it--talking about

homeopathic remedies.

That’s been my experience. If I am waffling, I will ask the dog which, showing a vial of pills in either hand. In no case would I give a remedy that wasn’t accepted.

Shannon & all,
Spray bottle with remedy in it, mist the vulva (mucous membrane) of the dairy cow.
Very easy, very effective. Dairy cattle are used to having humans mess with their backsides (artificial insemination, pregnancy checks, helping a calf come into the world, etc.) but get quite annoyed at having their faces/mouths being messed with.
Warmly,
Marybeth

Oh wow, good ol’ auto-correct! What I had *meant* to type, was “how often will you typically re-dose?” I also have never had an animal (or a child) refuse. I can’t at the moment remember why I had asked…

For some circumstances less frequent dosing is very helpful, and that’s one thing I like about high potencies and 4th ed method. Maybe that’s part of where my thoughts were going with the question.

But Vicki, that’s great that your dogs come running for their doses! Nice. :-)

I personally use the F-series with animals. I find better owner compliance. I do have a friend that has 14 cats and she uses LMs. She uses water dosing and puts about 5mls in a syringe and squirts it in their mouths.

I also used F-series on a pig production farm. Basically for improved production and reduction in antibiotic use.

Hope this helps,
Tamara

I just recently had a dog refuse to take a remedy (Stram.) which worked well for him.

Probably depends on which remedy.

I have the opposite problem: mine will gladly accept anything given, which makes it pretty hard to find out which is the best one for her.
Peace,
Dale

Yes, even in one breed, like humans, animals vary. One of my cats will not eat new food varieties without coaxing. Another is not sensitive, aggressive and does not seem to realize that the water contains a remedy.

I hear a doctor say, have a spray bottle of Chamomile ready in the waiting room for fussy babies. I think it was Murphy. I don't think I would do that.
