Hi Dr. Roz,
Is this about Hahnemann's "impartial observer"............?
Saying this with humor.

Well,...maybe....it is about being aware of the tint we put on others when watching them through the lens of being ourselves.
We are never really impartial, which is extremely important to take into account when dealing with a patient, but not that important IMO when dealing with daily life...or politics...
Why do I vote for a certain person or a certain party? clearly because we have at least a modicum of opinions and behaviours in common. I certainly do find some propositions coming from those I disagree with very well thought and reasonable, and would support those very specifically if I were a MP; that does not mean I become part of their flock.
When treating somebody, looking for a remedy, I have to neutralise my opinions, no other choice unless I refuse to treat the patient. A lived example is someone calling me for an appointment and asking me "Are you a [insert any religion here]?" (yes it happened and not just one time), to which I answer by asking first "what is the relevance to having a medical treatment?" then saying that "this is none of your business in any case"...none of those ever made an appointment, needless to say.
So, yes, it is an amusing exercise to find out which remedy you think would fit such and such "personality". It is another deciding which remedy you would give this "personality" as you see it through your public eye: my answer is generally between Skatol and Plumbum metallicum in their original form. But if they were to consult me as a patient, I would probably repertorise them differently...and maybe, who knows, arrive to the same remedy...
Do I make sense here?
Joe.

Yes, it makes sense. Except for the two remedies you mentioned.....I missed that part. Any hints?

I actually initially thought of Merc for the singer but Dale’s choice much more applicable.
Wonder if Trump could be Calc flour .
Hillary maybe Bryonia. Just a thought. Does not have deviousness but she does what she thinks necessary. Jean

Re: Homeopathic types
Hi Marilyn - Sorry for the delay. I took a couple of days off - from everything.
As far as plant + air or mineral + air remedies, I would have to say that yes, there are. However, as what I am doing is all theoretical and pretty airy itself, and because I do not have a whole lot of time to truly pursue these things, I am not prepared to say anything definitively. I would say that I cannot point to anything offhand but I know that I will know these remedies when I come across them. One interesting thing that I have discovered in doing this is that there are actually "air" plants which are able to live by drawing nutrients and liquid from the air without need of soil or contact with water in a liquid state. http://www.bhg.com/gardening/houseplant ... ts/#page=0
One also has to consider that there are not only air signs. There are fire, earth, air, and water signs. Everything depends, of course, on the person and what they are displaying. I am also trying to put together some thoughts on the use of astrological signs and homeopathic remedies. Maybe at some point when I have more time, I will post a few of the things I have come up with. For instance, fussy, health conscious Virgo who more often than not has intestinal and digestive problems is very often Arsenicum. Restless, lung and respiratory affected Tuberculinum would be Gemini and Sagittarius. Home loving, common sense, down to earth Calc Carb would fall along the Cancer-Capricorn axis. Sweet (except when not), pretty (usually) Pulsatilla would be found among Libras and Taurus, ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty. Oftentimes, I will just use the person's sign to "key in" on their case but, of course, we always have to take the complete case. And it must be remembered that there is more to astrology than the sun sign. One must consider all the planets and their placement in the signs and houses of the chart. A Libra, for instance, may be more Virgo than Libra if she has a chart which is heavily weighted toward Virgo.
If anyone has any observations or suggestions along these lines, I would love to hear them.

Not really sure who wrote it but someone mentioned that there were 3 Scorpio types and they were different from the ones I mentioned. There are more than 3. There may be 20 or 30 depending on who is doing the talking. I used eagle, snake, and scorpion I believe but I could have used any number of others. Experienced astrologers usually get the point of what is being said no matter which 3 are being used.

Your work sounds interesting Allen. I see that Robin Murphy has also contributed his thoughts on this astrology and homeopathy in his Lotus Materia Medica. Depending on the day of the week a Gemini was born, that would affect the planet and element ruling the individual, eg Tuesday => Mars + Fire.
Thanks for the links to the air plants; sounds like my kind of gardening:-)

I forgot to mention in my previous email that Leon Vannier MD wrote a book, Typology in Homeopathy in 1955, revised in 1976, translated into English in 1992.
