Hi Dr.M. Irfan Qureshi, Yeah, it's normal for snakes to try to bite (just like any wounded animal) but garter snakes are non poisionous & their bite is about like being scratched by a briar. They do not normally even draw blood since their teeth are so tiny. I do appreciate your concern though. ...
