Aconitum napellus - Vertigo
***************************

Dear all,

First, sorry for the delay in posting 'Materia Medica
Lessons' series. I was so busy moving back from Kish
Island to Tehran after a 15 months stay.

In the previous posts we reviewed Abies nigra,
Abrotanum, Absinthium, Aceticum acidum and mental and
general features of Aconitum. In this part, I am
sending the questions of Aconitum's vertigo.

1. 'Motion' is an impotant aggravation modality in
Aconitum vertigos. Mention different rubrics related
to this modality. For example, 'Vertigo on stooping'.

2. There are exceptions to the above modalities. What
are they?

3. 'Tendency to fall' is an important concomitants of
Aconitum vertigo. Which side the patient is usually
going to fall to?

4. Mental stress and shock are important causative
factors in Aconitum. Mention the rubrics where these
causes may result in vertigo.

5. What is the relation between Aconitum vertigo and
menstruation problems?

6. Study Aconitum in Hahnemann's Materia Medica Pura
and mention the proving symptoms related to its
vertigos. Materia Medica Pura is available at
http://www.minutus.com/Pura.htm

7. Now with your knowledge of mental and general
features of Aconitum, describe a patient coming to
emergancy room with the complaint of acute vertigo.

*******
There are now many experienced and fine homeopaths on
the list that I am sure that they can help me in these
educational series. TIA

Sincerely,

Ardavan Shahrdar, MD, DIHom
