Hi Everyone:

This is to spread the word that the school at which I am a third year student, Teleosis Homeopathic Educators, has a student teaching clinic that offers low cost homeopathic treatment for PEOPLE.

If you know someone who might want to try homeopathy for themselves, the student clinic's next meeting is : Friday, December 14th and Saturday, December 15th, in New York City. New clients are seen on Friday or Saturday afternoons.

To arrange an appointment, please call Dr. Joel Kreisberg, at 212-977-8118.

Or, contact me directly by e mail (drjill@happytailsvet.com ) or telephone (212-794-4993) if you have more questions.

The sessions are held at
TRS
44 East 32nd Street, 11th floor Between Madison & Park Ave. New York City.

The homeopathic intake session lasts 1 to 1-1/2 hours (cost $60.00).
Clients are asked to commit to attending the first session and two follow up sessions(Cost $30.00 each). The school meets once a month from September through June.

If the December weekend is not convenient, please ask the person to contact
Dr. Kreisberg to make an appointment for a later weekend. (Following weekend will be January 19th and 20th, 2002!!)
Feel free to pass this message to any person you think might be interested.

The client will be seen by a third year student. All students are supervised by a qualified, experienced homeopathic educator (Dr. Joel Kreisberg, Tim Owens or Dr. Eric Perlman).

The clients can discuss all the details with Dr. Kreisberg when they call to make the appointment. The student cases are usually videotaped for teaching purposes. Thank you.

Wishing you all a great holiday season.

Hi
I find it amusing that the treatment in the student clinic is described as 'low
cost'. $60 US is approximately $120 australian dollars. There is no way
practitioners in this country could expect to get clients if they charged this
amount. The average cost of treatment here in Australia is $60 - 70 ($30 - 35
US) for first session and maybe $30 ($15 US) for shorter followups.
If $60 US is low cost, what would the NORMAL cost of a session be?

Regards

Robyn

Dear Robyn,

It's interesting to hear about the cost of homeopathic treatment internationally. Of the Homeopaths I know in my corner of Canada, the first treatment ranges from $80 to $150, with follow ups costing around half. Usually, the more expensive the area is to live in, the higher the rate for consultation.

However, you must realize that by calculating the exchange rate you have gotten the wrong idea about the cost of seeing a Homeopath in the US. I go to the US several times a year and while it is VERY expensive because of the exchange rate (Canadian $ is only worth 62 cents) the price of most things is the same. For example, I went to buy (organic) broccoli at the grocery store (a little expensive in the fall, but it is my favorite vegie), the price at home was: $1.99/lbCanadian and the price in the US.... $1.99/lb in US Funds! The exact same dollar price that it was at home, but when I purchased it at home, it had to travel a much greater distance, cross the border and even get on a ferry. :-)

So, when looking at the price of things in US$, you have to realize that if you already had US currency, the price is almost the same as Aus.$.

And while $60 for a student clinic does seem high, I have heard of TCM student clinics charging $20 for 20 minute acupuncture treatment and which is somewhat comparable to a student homeopath spending x-number of hours taking a case.
Take care,
