Just found this
RU, Mind; phen; DELUSIONS, imaginations; starve; he must:, kali-m[3]

Combined, Mind; DELUSIONS, starve family, he must, kali-chl[1]

Is the second one - he must starve his family?

I must checkthese 2 out in MM

R e Kali chl in this rubric:

In Synthesis, the following rubric has a note that says that Kali-chl is
incorrectly there, and consequently, even though showing in the rubric, does
not get into the analysis. The reference is Clarke.

MIND - DELUSIONS - starve - he must
kali-chl., kali-m

and I don't know what repertory your 'Combined' rubric comes from, but it is
worded differently to Synthesis and RU -- and there seems to be additional
remedies here ??

MIND - PHENOMENA - DELUSIONS, imaginations - starve - family will
ars., calc-sil., SEP., staph.

and from synthesis ---
MIND - DELUSIONS - starve - family will
ars. calc-sil. lap-la. Sep. staph
Best

Thanks Robyn- so I take it Kali Mur is the correct one, not Kali Chl. The chemical difference between these 2 Rx is Oxygen in the Kali Chl.

I also have the rubric you show below with more Rx .

The Combined is a rep which was written by Miccant originally for Cara and has been incorporaed into Isis .

Most of the kaliums have eating disorders and I have for a long time
been promoting them as possibilities for anorexia and bulimia - worth
reading them as a group. Best, Joy

Hi Robyn,

Interesting! In Kent's Repertory the rubric is Delusion, starve he must. -
Kali-chl.
The source for this rubric is Hering's Guiding Symptoms. Hering amalgamated
the symptoms of Kali-chl (Chlorate of Potassium) and Kali mur (Chloride of
Potassium) under the one remedy, Kali mur.

Kali-chl received a proving, but Kali-mur's indications were introduced by
Schuessler.

Hering wrote at the beginning of Kali mur: "The clinical symptoms of
Kali-chl of which we have provings by Martin and Tully (Allen's Encyc.) are
deemed sufficiently similar to those of Schuessler's Tissue Remedies to be
included herein."

According to Vermuelen the description of the two remedies should be kept
separate, but the 'delusion he must starve', and the 'refusal to eat', is
present in each remedy's mind symptoms in his Concordant MM.

Chris.

Dear Magda, I have edited your post and also sent to Minutus as this
might be useful for others as well - I hope that is ok.

Every case has to be taken on its own merits and of course not every
case of anorexia or bulimia will need one of the kaliums. I think the
kaliums, as a group, tend to be looked at as the 'retentive' type,
rigid in outlook and possibly repressed in nurture and upbringing thus
making them contenders to consider for such conditions as eating
disorders.

Kali ars - anxious, discontented, irritable, jealous - no appetite,
will only drink water (typical of many anorexics)
Kali bich - anxious, indifferent, avoids people - overeats, has
compulsive eating habits
Kali brom - depressed, feels guilty, remorseful - anorexic and very
thirsty
Kali carb - irritable, despondent, fearful, obstinate - total disgust
with food but wants to eat frequently, anxious when hungry
Kali chlor - irritable and yet dull, frightening dreams - whole
digestive sphere ulcerates and breaks down, cannot eat
Kali chlorosum - sensitive and constricted - constriction prevents
eating, thyroid rx?? In fact thyroid dysfunction can be prominent in
people who are anorexic or bulimic and should be checked out
Kali cyan - alternates gentle with anger - chronic vomiting, chronic
constipation, epigastric region very sensitive
Kali iod - anxious and fearful, always troubled - will only drink
liquids or soups
Kali mur - irritable and fearful - feels they must starve and refuses
food, habitual loss of appetite
Kali nit - bored, discouraged, fearful - <<< from many foods so they
don't eat, retch and vomit frequently
Kali oxal - extremely depressed - chronic vomiting
Kali perm - addictive (opiates), so maybe useful for getting someone
off these drugs and they have no interest in eating properly although
there is a constant inclination to swallow
Kali phos - shy, nervous, depressed and indifferent - averse to food
but just wants ice water and sweets, likes to drink vinegar
Kali sil - anxious and indolent - extreme emaciation (end stage
anorexia?)
Kali sulph - hurried and irritable, petulent - wants only sweets and
liquids
Kali tart - feels paralysed - extreme emaciation, great thirst, lots of
vomiting
Kali tell - feels sleepy and oppressed - great appetite which then
dwindles to nothing, inclination to vomit, whole person smells of
garlic.

Remember that some of the kaliums haven't been proved. I always think
the desire for sweets that come through often is interesting - part of
the child nurture. anyway, hope useful. Best wishes, Joy
